Beverly A. (Hall) Hoskins, 95, went into eternal rest at home on May 2, 2025. She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, William E. Hoskins, her son-in-law, Clifford J. Barnes, and daughter-in-law Mary I. Hoskins. She is survived by her six children, James (Jennifer) Hoskins, Mark Hoskins, Thomas (Michelle) Hoskins, Debra Barnes, Scott Hoskins, and Christine (Jeff) Tardibone-Hoskins. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Hoskins, Amy (Nick) Donahue, Erin (Kerry) Tinder, Jamie Hoskins, Timothy (Samantha) Hoskins, Michael (Ashlyn) Hoskins, Stephen (Allie) Hoskins, Nicole (Josh) Amatuccio, Kyle Hoskins, Ryan Hoskins, Maryann (William) Thompson, and Heather (Matt) Conley, 13 great-grandchildren and special grand-dogs, Packer and Twix.
Beverly worked in several school districts, including 22 years as a baker and cook in the Windsor Central School District. She also worked in wardrobe through IATSE Local #54 for many years at various venues across the Binghamton area. She later retired from Document Services at Broome-Tioga BOCES in 2017, at the age of 87. She was also an active member in her church communities at Our Lady of Lourdes in Windsor, NY and later in life, St. James in Johnson City, NY.
She was an avid fan and expert on the NFL, spending 70 years, many in frustration, as a New York Football Giants fan. You could often find her reading a book, puzzle making or baking family favorites like apple pie or no-bake cookies. She was an animal lover, taking care of animals on the farm and helping many strays. She also loved a quick trip to the casino and going to the beach. But her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family. She was known for her Christmas tradition of filling more than three dozen stockings with gifts, socks and popcorn balls for her loved ones.
Beverly’s family would like to thank the many members of the healthcare community who helped make her comfortable at home in her last years. A special thank you to the aides and nurses at iCare, All-Metro and Hospice. We would also like to acknowledge the compassion and care from Dr. Daniel Young and Dr. Jerome Mikloucich.
A wake will be held at St. James Church in Johnson City on Friday, May 9th from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. followed immediately by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. The burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to any of the following organizations, PAWS of CNY, St. James Food Pantry, or the Alzheimer's Association Central New York Chapter.
