Jaworski, Charles F."Jaws"On July 4th 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, the world's greatest father, sports editor and avid Michigan sports fan was born. Charles "Jaws" F. Jaworski, was unexpectedly taken from his wonderful family and friends on Monday August 15th, 2016, at his home. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Frank and Anne Jaworski, and his infant daughter, Marcie Leigh. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan, sister Barbara Jaworski; children Amy Davis (Jeff), Jennifer Moses (Jason), Lindsey Jackson (Michael) and Michael Jaworski (Megan); and grandchildren Nathan and Caitlin Moses and Natalie Jaworski. He spent 38 years devoted to the Press and Sun Bulletin as the Executive Editor to the Sports page. But, more importantly he spent 70 years being an amazing son, brother, husband, father and Papa Chuck. Whether reporting on the big game, watching his kids and grandchildren take the field, or running fantasy leagues, Charlie's love for sports was one for the record books. Just as Charlie ran his newsroom; old-school, he also raised his children and grandchildren, the right way, the Jaworski way. He made it a priority to attend each and every baseball game of his grandson, Nate, and made sure to have his granddaughter Caitlin to gymnastics, on the other side of town, early. He spent countless hours sitting on the floor, playing with his newest granddaughter, Natalie. Chuck always made his growing family his priority. In retirement, Charlie's life blossomed. He was able to do the things he never had time for: going to dinners and casino trips with his wife and sister, walks with his dog Holly, games with his grandchildren, traveling to visit his daughter Lindsey, no matter where she lived, watching every Tigers/Lions/Red Wings/Michigan game, and simply just more time with his family. He was an incredible bowler, who on March 1st, 2003, bowled his first 300. He shared his love for the pins with his oldest daughter, Amy. He was lucky enough to have his sister, Barbara, as his best friend. However, none of this would have been possible without his wife, Sue, his backbone. In lieu of flowers, to honor Charlie and his love for sports and animals, please make donations to Johnson City Youth Baseball, P.O.
