Clara G. Cole

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter “Nick” Cole; her parents, Arthur and Gertrude Gately, in-laws, Lester and Ruth Cole; brothers, Edward and Paul Gately.

She is survived by her son, Kevin "KC” Cole and daughter-in-law Clara Cole; her brother, Thomas (Sharon) Gately; sisters, Agnes Whitney, Edna (Edwin) Allen, Marion Rutkowski; and several nieces and nephews.

Clara was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Conklin Presbyterian Church. She retired from Broome County and had been employed at NYSEG for many years. On weekends you could always find Clara and with her racing family at Five Mile Point and other local tracks cheering on her son “KC” and nephew Joe.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Wm. R. Chase Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson NY. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-6 PM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy House. Their care and kindness was greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
