The most memorable was on the Coal Crew we prided ourselves on making work productive but fun, and Dave never disappointed us in keeping it fun. I will really miss you. I was totally shocked to read of David's passing. I worked with him at Goudey Station. He always had a big smile on his face, always had a new joke to tell you, and was the sweetest person that I ever knew. I was proud to call him friend. So sorry for you loss.  RIP David. You will be missed.

We have known Dave for only a few years, but in that time both he and Rita have become family. Dave was always there to lend a hand. No matter what the job, build a deck, dig a ditch, or drink a beer. Our thoughts are with Rita, the girls, and the whole family. Also, those whose lives like ours were brightened by Dave.

Aunt Rita, Kate, Kal, and family....I cant express how truly sorry I am. He will be missed by many. He taught me so much over the years, helped me through some hard times in the Military, and I will always have VERY fond memories of him, his laugh, and him mowing the lawn singing. My heart was so sad when I heard the news of the passing of David.  He was a great kid and grew into a wonderful man.  I can still see him running into the front door of my mothers home asking my mother if she had any cookies.  The memory still makes me smile.  My thoughts and prayers are with Rita and the family. The Colgan Family., I am sorry to learn of Dave ' s passing.Honestly I am shocked.I first met Dave in 1986 while working on the coal crew at Goudy Station.We worked together for close to three years. The work was hard, dirty and demanding in the worst weather hot and cold. The laughs were non stop along with the practical jokes.These were by far the best years for me due to the coal gang as we were called. Dave spoke of your family often and how you saved him from himself.My heartfelt condolences. Sleep well Dave.I can hear you shouting NORM (from Cheers).

David was always there and quick to hel  even in his childhood  lots of fond memories  so sad  so  young  great man and will be missed deeply

I was so sad to hear this news. Dave was truly "one of the good guys". I first worked with him in the meter dept, then later in the Gas Dept.. He always had a smile for everyone. Generous to a fault, he & Rita (with other wonderful NYSEG employees) came to my home to help gut it after being flooded. Dave brought food and soda with him - and turned a terrible situation into a fun time.  That's the way he always was - generous, thinking of others - I will never forget him.  We will all miss him and that smile of his.

I was one of Dave's shipmates on the USS Farragut, DDG-37, 1975 - 77. Dave was always a joy to be around and brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. Blessings to you and your family.

The news of Dave's passing shocked me this morning.  I worked with Dave at NYSEG and enjoyed the conversations we had when I visited Goudey.  He was taken at far too young an age.  My thoughts are with you during this sad time.

Such a loss for so many because Dave was a man w/ so much kindness and care. He loved his wonderful wife Rita and All his family members so much. Not everyone has such a Good Man in their life, and I will keep You all in my prayers because I know your loss is beyond words. Such a pleasure to know him as a friend.
