David A. Neer

David A. Neer, of Port Crane, 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Sylvester & Mildred Neer, brother Bruce Neer and sister & brother-in-law Antoinette & Lewis Gardepe. David is survived by his wife of 55 years Dorene and two sons, Dale & Darren, grandchildren, Alaina & Allen Neer, sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Sandra & John Perkins, also several nieces and nephews. David was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a retiree from Broome Develop Mental Center after 27 years of service. He was also a former employee of Fairbanks Valve, plus he served with the Broome County Sheriff’s Department as a special deputy for 13 years. David loved the out of doors enjoying fishing and hunting trips with family and friends. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather & friend, he will be dearly missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901. His burial will take place on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family and friends are invited to the funeral home on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
