Chenango Forks: Donna Sypher, 73, passed away peacefully with her husband, Ted, by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was able to remain in her home due to her strength and determination, and the loving care of her husband. She lived a quiet life as a devoted wife and mother creating a happy home for her family. Donna was a homebody at heart, enjoying quiet mornings watching the birds and the chipmunks from her back patio, long walks at Chenango Valley State Park with her dog, Sam, and was a fan of the NY Mets as well as the Binghamton Mets. Music and musicals were a big part of her life, and she had a remarkable ability to recall songs from long ago. Donna and her husband loved to travel the east coast from Nova Scotia to Georgia, especially enjoying the scenic coast of Maine. Her family would like to express a special thanks to Wilson Hospital, Broome Oncology, Dr. Harris, Lourdes Hospice, and all those whose cards, meals, and visits brightened her days. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Donna was predeceased by her father, Donald Ferry, Sr. She leaves behind her loving family, including her husband, Ted Sypher; her mother, Mildred Ferry; her children, Shari and Jeff Rivenburg, Barbara Hogan and Steve Call, and Karen and Dan Bradley; her adored grandchildren, who will always remember her overwhelming and constant love and support, Katie Hogan, Amy Hogan, and Emily Bradley; her brother, Don and Pat Ferry; and her sister-in-law, Dale Sypher. Memorial services for Donna will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Donna's memory may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850, or to B.C.
