Eugene built a steady working life marked by reliability and dedication. Over the years, he served as a taxi driver, worked as a UHS employee, and later retired from Sears—roles that reflected a consistent willingness to show up, work hard, and do what needed to be done.
He shared 38 years of marriage with his loving wife, Linda R. Wells, a partnership that stood at the center of his life and will be remembered with deep respect.
A devoted sports fan with a quick sense of humor, Eugene was especially known for his love of hockey. He was involved with Binghamton Hockey for many years, including holding an office in the Booster Club, and many would say he was the biggest Binghamton Hockey fan of all. He traveled to hockey games whenever he could, carrying that enthusiasm wherever he went. He was also a dedicated New York Giants football fan.
Eugene was preceded in death by his mother, Harriet Wells, and his brother, Donald Vosberg.
He is survived by his wife, Linda R. Wells; his sisters, Shirley Bride, Eloise Vosburg, Janet Locke, Barbra Kelly, and Cindy Wilson; his brothers, John Vosburg, Michael Vosburg, and Steven Vosburg; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Holly.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, 2pm at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 254 Robinson Street, Binghamton, NY 13904.
