

Helen (Sloma) Valachovic, 85, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Valachovic, her son Gary Valachovic and all her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Darryl Jenson, Johnson City; 2 grandsons who where the light of her life, Joseph Jenson, Fort Mill, SC; Michael Jenson, Johnson City, NY; daughter-in-law, Carol Oltz, Johnson City, NY; brother-in-law, Anthony (Fred) Pospisil, Chenango Bridge; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Theresa Tokos, Johnson City, NY; sister-in-law, Mary Pufky, FL; sister-in-law, Jean Valachovic, AK; also many wonderful nieces and nephews. She worked at Fairbanks Valve Company for many years and then SUNY Binghamton as a cleaner. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, 346 Prospect Street, Binghamton, its Altar Rosary Society, a bingo volunteer worker and a member of the Bill Flynn Polka Club.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 24, 2012 at 8:45 AM at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY and continue at 9:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
