Janice C. Meier

February 14, 1941 - October 13, 2026

Janice C. Meier, age 85, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026 with her family by her side.

Janice loved her children above anything else on this earth. She was known for her devotion to family and dog Peanut, her love of gardening, crocheting, knitting, traveling and making new memories. Throughout her life, she touched many hearts with her kindness, generosity, wit and humor. Everyone who met her could feel her magic by how she made people feel comfortable, accepted and appreciated.

She is survived by her children and their spouses Steve and Tess Smith, Brenda and John Serafini, Elizabeth and Jim Nystrom and Daniel Dickerson. She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She loved each one for who they were, however near or far they were. She is survived by her sister Karen Scanlon and her late husband’s children: the Meier family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jane and Arthur; husbands Frank Meier, Paul Ross, Jim Dickerson and Ron Smith; sister Judy Wood; and grandson Zackary Dickerson.

A service to celebrate Janice's life will be held at Two Rivers Church, 1 Chrisfield Ave, Johnson City, NY on November 7 at 10:30AM.
