Born on January 6th, 1953, in Binghamton NY, Jeffrey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Deborah (Dear) Young for 51 wonderful years—a partnership built on laughter, loyalty, and deep affection. Together they raised 3 sons, Brian, Jamie, and Corey, who were his greatest pride and joy.
Jeffrey was a proud and dedicated member of the Pipe Fitters Local UA 112 for 50 years. His work ethic, integrity, and humor earned the respect of his peers and everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.
One of Jeffrey’s favorite pastimes was watching his children and grandchildren play sports. You could often find him working the scorebook inside the dugout. Whether cheering from the stands or from his favorite chair at home, he loved the rhythm and spirit of sports.
Jeffrey leaves behind his beloved wife, Deborah (Dear); his three sons, Brian (Julie), Jamie (Yvonne), and Corey (Jen), and seven cherished grandchildren (Sydney, Zachary, Kaili, Ella, Alex, Landon, and Maxton), who brought endless joy and laughter into his life. He is also survived by his sisters Susan Dean, Bonnie Young Smith, and Carole (Edsy) Grummons. In addition, he is survived by his in-laws Tom (Carmen) Fabian, Rich Fabian, and AJ (Denise) Fabian along with several nieces and nephews. Last but not least, Jeffrey leaves behind his beloved fur baby, Sadie Jadie. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Joyce Young, in-laws Albert and Joanne Fabian, Timothy Fabian and Mary Ann (Mimi) Fabian.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1st from 12pm to 4pm at My Uncles Place in Hillcrest.
His legacy of love, hard work, and family devotion will live in the hearts of all who knew him.
