

Judy Ann Halavik, 82, of Binghamton, New York, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 24, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Born on September 19, 1942 in Binghamton, NY, Judy, also affectionately known as "Nana", lived a life filled with joy building countless memories which will be forever cherished by her friends and loved ones.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Emily and Robert Woodruff and older brother Robert "Bobby" Woodruff (wife Alice). Judy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Andrew "Andy" Halavik; Siblings Norma Turner-Phillips (Binghamton), Charles "Skip" Woodruff (Binghamton), Penny Race (Binghamton), and Joanie Gardner (husband Rich) (New Port Richey, Florida); and her beloved daughters, Lori Jackson (husband Jeff) of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, and Kelly Tate (husband Mark) of Damon, Texas. She adored her 5 grandchildren Lindsey Pale (husband Nicholas), Taylor Jackson (fiance Dalton Orr), Dylan Tate (wife Heather), Derek Tate, and Danica Tate.
In her younger years, Judy had an adventurous side having won a trophy drag racing a Corvette. Judy also loved to bowl & enjoyed a weekly league with friends. Judy was passionate about serving at her church and taught Sunday school as well as ran the nursery. A gifted hairdresser and entrepreneur, Judy owned and operated her Stylette Beauty Salon for over 40 years. Judy also enjoyed gardening and was especially proud of cultivating her rhododendron plant. Judy was also a diehard New York Yankees fan and particularly fond of her favorites, Dave Winfield, Bernie Williams and Derek Jeter.
The family will receive friends at the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Front Street, Binghamton, NY on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 10-11AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11AM.
