K. Gordon Brownlow Jr. of Port Crane, 73, Died unexpectedly on September 11, 2018 and went peacefully to his rest. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Gordon Brownlow Sr. and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert & Dorothy Nesley. Gordon is survived by his mother, Doris Brownlow, his loving wife, Dottie, his son Kenneth Brownlow and wife Michelle his daughter Kristin Mahoney and husband Christopher, grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Izaiah, Katelyn, and Nathan, brothers John Brownlow of Friendsville, Pennsylvania, David and Ria Brownlow of Cheyenne, Wyoming, sister Linda Greensfelder and brother in law Chris, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to family he was survived by his lifelong law school friends Alan & Peggy Brubaker of Lafeyette Indiana and Don & Barbara Sullivan of Cheyenne Wyoming. His business career spanned four decades and included a variety of roles with LJ Kingsley Co., Hardware Fare, Stowe Manufacturing, Universal Instruments, Micro-flite, Raymond Corporation, Emerson Electric and Pastor of Brookvale United Methodist Church. Gordon was active in the community in a variety of volunteer roles with Rotary International, Boy Scouts of America, Town Planning Boards, Boy Scout Camp Tuscarora, Broome County Council of Churches Jail Ministry, Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church, and Sky Lake Camp. Gordon loved the outdoors spending all his free time managing his tree farm, hunting, hiking, and traveling to beautiful outdoor destinations. He loved to read and was a lifelong learner. He dearly loved, and was proud of, his children and grandchildren always offering words of encouragement and opportunities to experience new things. With people, places, and things he always strived to leave them better than he found them. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge 704 River Rd. Binghamton, NY 13901 on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 3:00 pm, the family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00-3:00 pm.
