Linda M. Olmsted, of Port Dickinson, New York, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1969. Linda will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her.
A graduate of Binghamton High School, Linda built her life close to home and devoted many years to caring for others. She was employed as a home health aid in the Binghamton area for many years, work that reflected her steady sense of responsibility and the quiet dignity with which she approached daily life.
Linda also found joy in the open road and the simple thrills of it. She loved riding 4-wheeler and motorcycles, and she loved cars—interests that spoke to her independent spirit and appreciation for life’s freedom. Her compassion was equally evident in the care she extended to animals; she had rescued many animals who became her pets, giving them safety, comfort, and a lasting place in her home.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Marion Seeley, and her sister, Patricia Seeley. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, William Olmsted; her brother, John Seeley; her brother, Robert Seeley; and her sister-in-law, Kathy Stanton (Mike). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Adam Wade and his children Adison and Vincent, and by many special friends including Lori Matthews and Tammy Tucker.
At Linda's request there will be no funeral services.
