With steady devotion and a gracious spirit, Margo found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved. Her care for family was constant, and she took deep pride in her grandchildren and great grandchildren, celebrating them with a quiet happiness that will be long remembered.
Margo was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where her faithful presence reflected a life grounded in community and enduring belief.
Margo was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Benning. She is survived by her children: Frederick M. Benning & Melissa Way, David A. Benning & Casey Slocum, Amy & William Dill, Jennifer L. Benning & Leonard, and Christopher & Meghan Benning; her grandchildren: Kalene, William Dill, Jr., Carly Dill, Leonard A. Gee, III, MacKenzie Gee, Abigail Benning and Jacob Benning; and her great grandchildren: Logan, Landon & Levi Venth.
The family will receive friends at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 216 Kattelville Road, Binghamton, NY 13901 on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 4-5pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 5pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Port Crane Cemetery.
