Marlene Halupke

Marlene Halupke, 78, of Port Crane, passed away August 18th peacefully at home surrounded by her family after her brave battle with ALS. She was born December 22, 1936 and raised in West Scranton, PA. She was the daughter of Alfred and Amelia Fitch. She is survived by her spouse, Paul; children: Timothy (Mary) Halupke, Karen (Ron) Hollenbeck, Lori (Tony) Walling; Grandchildren: Aaron, Cara, Joseph, Adam, Alexa, Nicholas, Caleb; her sister Victoria Grzenda; and her brother and sister inlaws: Walter, Gene, Andy (Cheryl), Joyce (Charles). Special family: Jane, Dave (MaryKay), Stash (Nancy), Rich (Elaine), Carol (Ernie) and Beth. Marlene is predeceased by her parents Amelia Heinz and Alfred Fitch, brother Alfred Jr. (Alberta) Fitch, brother-in law Stanley Grzenda,in-laws John and Katherine Halupke, Delores (John)Keane, John Halupke Jr., Marge Halupke, Carole Halupke. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 22nd at 9 o'clock am at St. Michael's Church; Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday August 21st from 4:30 to 7 pm at the Wm R Chase & Son Funeral Home: 737 Chenango St., Binghamton. The Parastas will be offered at 4 o'clock pm Friday at the beginning of calling hours.
