Marygrace G. Ferris

Marygrace (Grace) Garcia Ferris, 54, of Binghamton, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born on October 28, 1971, in Mangagoy, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur in Mindanao, Philippines, to Virginia Rubocca and the late Anito Garcia.

Grace came to the United States at the age of 18. Though she initially explored nursing classes at Broome Community College, her strong, resilient nature guided her to a decades-long and successful career in defense and manufacturing at BAE Systems.

Grace was the embodiment of kindness, tenacity, and generosity. She was a woman who truly loved everyone and was universally adored in return. When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, or going on shopping trips, she found her sanctuary in the home garden. There, she dedicated countless hours nurturing and blossoming beautiful flowers and vegetables.

Grace is predeceased by her father, Anito. She is survived by her husband, Rick, and their children, Kayla and Kyle; her mother, Virginia; her siblings, Jevan, Jinky, Jonaldo, and Joel; her half-sister, Benyee; her half-brothers, James, Dennis, and Anthony; many relatives around the world; and her precious dog, “baby” Benji.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Conklin Presbyterian Church, located at 1175 Conklin Road, Conklin, NY 13748, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Grace will be laid to rest in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
