Michael J. Buchta Jr., 77, of Binghamton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael J. Buchta Sr. and Sarah Shirhall; sister, Carolyn and Sandra. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; daughter, Deborah and David McMyne; grandchildren, Daniel and Katrina, Timothy and Antoinette; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Megan; brother, Thomas; sister, Lorie and Fred; brother-in-law, Thomas and Patricia; sister-in-law, Patty and Harold; special niece, Kimberly and Thomas Murphy; several nieces and nephews. Mike proudly served in the US Army from 1955-1958. He retired after 38 years of service at Vail-Ballou Press. A funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the church prior to mass from 9:00 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
