Michele A. Williams-Geist

Michele A. Williams-Geist, 53, of Chenango Bridge went unexpectedly home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2016. Surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Alberta Williams; grandparents, Ralph and Laberta Hunter, Frank and May Williams; brother, Donald Hunsinger; great-nephew, Christopher J. Brown. She is survived by her fiancé of 22 years, Carl J. Russell; Her three children, Jason and Erica Geist and their children, Carter and Olivia Geist; Lacee Geist and Dustin Price, Jared and Jackie Geist; sisters, Darlene and Arthur Labar, Linda and Dave McDonald, Carol Lusher, Michael and Barbara Williams, Dawna and James Cicak; very special cousin and lifelong friend, Kathy Hlavacek and her husband, John; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Michele was a graduate of Binghamton North High School Class of 1980. She worked at Wegmans photo lab for many years, and at Lourdes Hospital on the Hospice unit while going back to SUNY Broome and graduated in 2005 before being diagnosed with her illness. Michele loved fishing, camping at the 1000 islands every year, trail riding on her ATV and shopping. She enjoyed anything that included her children, grandchildren, and large extended family and friends. Michele also enjoyed spending many beautiful sunny days floating around her pool. Michele had a huge heart, warm smile and infectious personality that touched all who knew her. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Our family would like to thank Brian, her Physical Therapist and Alissa and Katelynn her Occupational Therapists who made a huge impact on her life.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10 from 3-7 pm at the Wm. R. Chase Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. A funeral will be held on Friday, March 11, at 10:00 am at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
