

Nancy Marie Lewis passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the age of 87. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and a life well-lived.
Throughout her life, she touched the lives of many, both through her family and her dedication to her faith and church. She is predeceased by her siblings Art, Jim, Clarence, Mary and her daughter-in-law, Ruth Lewis. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Francis Lewis, their children Richard Lewis, David & Jane Lewis, Mark Lewis, Janet & Bill Ingraham, 25 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and her siblings Richard (Dick), Roger, Gertrude (Gertie), Donna and Cheryl Ann.
Nancy was employed at Vail-Ballou Press for 10 years and then became a school bus driver for Johnson City Schools, where she worked for 18 years. Her faith was a huge part of her life and she was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Castle Creek. Additionally, She spent over 20 years as a member of the Wesleyan Village, in Florida, where they resided during the winters and attended the Wesleyan Church.
Nancy and Francis enjoyed the adventures of travel, exploring new places in their motorhome for many years. She enjoyed being involved with church softball and bowling leagues. Moreover, Nancy’s heart was open to helping others, as she served as a foster parent for many children over the years.
To celebrate Nancy’s life and pay our respects, the family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Castle Creek on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 1-2:30 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30pm. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
