Paul Dieter Kleinhenz

Born and raised in Rochester, New York. Paul most recently made his home in Horseheads, New York. He was a skilled house painter and decorator with a special talent for detailed restoration work. A true craftsman, Paul took great pride in his work and had an eye for detail and an ability to restore and improve just about anything he put his hands to.

That creativity and craftsmanship extended well beyond his profession. Paul enjoyed building, tinkering, working on vehicles, cooking, tackling handyman projects, and caring for his home and yard. He also loved nature, planting flowers wherever he lived and faithfully tending his bird feeders so he could enjoy the many visitors they brought to his window.

Above all, Paul was a loving and devoted father to his two children, Aaron and Emily. He gave them his love, support, and care throughout their lives and was immensely proud of them. He was also a caring brother who valued his family and was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed him.

Paul was predeceased by his sister, Hildegard, and his brothers, Julius and Henry. He is survived by his children, Aaron and Emily; his sister, Renate; his brother, Peter; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Paul will be remembered for his generosity, his willingness to help others, and above all, he will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paul’s life on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Church of The Annunciation, 1760 Norton St, Rochester, NY. A reception will follow the service.

Please note that access to the reception hall requires climbing 9 steps, and there is no elevator or lift available.
