Richard A. “Dick” Talbut, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford & Sarita Talbut and daughter Diane E. Talbut. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Doris Talbut and their children Vikki Collazo, Ric Talbut and Denise Talbut; and grandson Blake Collazo. Dick proudly served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard from 1955-1959. A mechanic by trade, he was a fixture in Hillcrest at “Dick’s Automotive” for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Binghamton Adirondack Club and was also a member of the Greene Rod and Gun Club, SASS and the Kattelville Seniors. His favorite place on earth was Lake Portaferry in the Adirondacks. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, snowmobiling, horseback riding, target shooting and fishing but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. A Private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2021.
