Rodney M. Darrow, 65, left us unexpectedly on January 30, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Doris Davis Darrow; father-in-law, Jospeh P. Varano. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Devina; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Krista; grandchilden; Austin and Madison; mother-in-law, Irene varano; brothers, Art and Debbie, Bobby and Linda; sister, Rhonda King; brother and sister-in-law, Annette Blodgett and Joey Varano; nieces and nephews and many close friends. Rodney was loved by all that knew him, he had a great love of hot rods, motorcycles and flea markets. He fought in the Vietnam War, received three purple hearts and a bronze star, and medal of honor. He had great devotion and bravery in a time of need to his unit and saved many lives.
A funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of service Friday. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at the convience of the family.
