Johnson City: Ronald Jason Whetsell, 37, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 24, 2011. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald Floyd Whetsell; grandparents, Elizabeth (Betty) Whetsell, Beverly Healey, John (Foxy) Healey; uncle, Ed Healey. He is survived by his loving fiancee, Heather L. Garvey; children, Justin, Skyler, Ronald Wade and Miah; best friend for over 20 years, Joseph Gibson; Mama Cindy and Papa Greg Massis; sister, Carissa (Whetsell) Foraker and her children, Brandon, Sierra, Pursjza, and Andre; grandparents, Charles (Chuck) Whetsell Sr., Bernard and Sandra Massis; uncle and aunts, Butchie (Charles Jr., Chuck) and Sue, Linda (Lin Whetsell Jones) and Wayne Watrous, Maggie (Whetsell) and Walter Plevyak, Brian and Jill Whetsell, Daniel and Kathy Whetsell, John and Carol Healey, Jonell and Samuel Floge, Greg and Shelly Healey; in-laws, Thomas and Leslie Garvey, Linda and Chip Lee; several cousins and special friends, including Brian, Jason, Harry, Nate, Brent, Chris, Ed and Michelle. He was employed by J & K Plumbing and Heating for the last five years. Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard, time spent with his children, and will be remembered for being a grill master. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
