Ruth M. Swingle

Ruth Mary (Sauter) Swingle, 83, of Binghamton, passed away on January 29, 2016. She grew up in New Milford, PA. She was predeceased by her parents, Minnie and Paul Sauter; son, Walter; brother, Walter Sauter; sisters, Ethel Pettis, Leona Meade Warner and Mabel DePersiis. She is survived by her sons; Daniel Swingle, Robert (Denise) Swingle, Thomas (Debbie) Swingle, Fred (Cheryl) Swingle, adopted son, Alan Dixon, daughter, Carrie Ann Krach; sisters-in-law, Alice Sauter; Margaret Hierl and Ruth Cole; nine nieces and nephews; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Ruth graduated from New Milford High School, PA and Ridley-Lowell School. She worked for the Southern Tier East Regional Developmental Planning Board. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00 am at Wm. R Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
