Shelly M. Haskell

Shelly Marie Haskell, born November 12, 1972, went to her Heavenly home on December 2, 2020. She left this world while at home, surrounded with love from her close family, after a brief, but very brave battle with cancer.

Shelly was pre-deceased by her faithful fur-friend Zoe, maternal grandparents-Nancy and Gerald Kuhn, paternal grandparents-Ralph and Ethel Haskell, Uncle Norman Wood, Uncle Richard Haskell, Aunt Mary Bohn, Great Aunt Rhoda Taylor, and her mom’s fiance-Tony Hull,who loved Shelly dearly.

Shelly’s dogs were her children and meant the world to her. She filled her life with family and friends whom she affectionately called her “people”, and whom she loved fiercely with all of her heart. She left her mark quietly, modestly,humbly, and unassumedly with her beautiful blue eyes, happy dimples, infectious laugh, wildly funny sense of humor, and her beyond giving and genuine loving nature. Shelly loved crafting and hunting for those perfect finds at garage sales. She had a talent for turning those finds into beautiful creations with her own special touches. She made the perfect personalized and individual gifts for her family, friends and co-workers and found great joy in doing so. Shelly was an avid reader and lover of true crime. She enjoyed a good television series and spending time with friends on her deck. She loved the beach, sunshine, summer nights and taking small trips. As long as there was no snow, Shelly was happy and enjoyed a simple life with music in the background and laughter in the foreground. Shelly was a genuinely beautiful human, inside and out, and it was an absolute blessing to be part of her life. Shelly’s departure was too soon and there are no words that can express how deeply she will be missed by so many.

Shelly is survived by her fur-baby- Diva “D”, her parents- Sherry and Roger Haskell, her brother-Patrick (Roger) Haskell, her sister-in-law/friend-Victoria Anderson, her nephews-Bryan Haskell, Russell and Luke Anderson, her Aunts and Uncles- Deb and Jerry Kuhn, Jane and Michael McCabe, Brian

Bohn, Sue and Bill Kuhn, Susan Cole, Robert Kuhn, Janice Wood, Donna and Ralph (Charlie) Haskell, Gary and Anita Haskell, and Karen Haskell, her cousins Jen Kuhn, Derrick Kuhn, Ashley Anderson (Jason), Shawn McCabe,Travis, Dylan, Taylor, Matthew (Aubrey), Elise, Steven and AJ, along with the extended Haskell family. She is also survived by her dear friends, Nancy Polkowski, Michelle Doloway, and Tammy Larry, along with numerous others she touched along the way who affectionately callher, “friend”.

Special thanks to Shelly’s co-workers at Wilson Dental, especially to Olga who has been so thoughtful and kind. Dr. Sanjiv Patel and his nurse, Victoria Anderson. Also to Berean Bible Church, Cracker Barrel, and several other acquaintances,including those Shelly had never met who came to offer help, prayers, equipment, food, comfort and kindness. You all filled her heart with your generosity and kindness-she was truly amazed at how much love her and her family were surrounded with.

The family will receive friends at the Berean Bible Church in Greene on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 pm with a Celebration of her Life to follow at 2 pm. Please kindly consider making a memorial donation in lieu of flowers to her family’s church. Shelly truly enjoyed the services and devotionals, especially in the last weeks of her time here and would have loved to be part of helping others receive the same inspiration and spiritual guidance.
