Stanley R. Sobiech

Stanley was born July 22, 1939 to Anthony and Lottie Sobiech of Johnson City, NY. After graduating from Johnson City High School in 1958, he served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years. He then went on to a career with now Verizon for over 30 years. Stan loved the sun, his pool, and cookouts with family and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Donna. He is survived by his children Judith Bierut (Thomas), Anthony Sobiech (Milagros) and AnneMarie del Real (Gonzalo); dear grandfather to Emily and John Bierut, Karma Lamar and Nevaeh Sobiech, Joshua and Jacob Sobiech, and Arwen del Real Sobiech. Stanley is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Stan’s memory may be made to The Rosary Group, c/o Anne Oakely, 6 South Willis Ave, First Floor, Endwell, NY 13760. Checks should be made payable to Anne Oakley.

A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, September 22, 2023, 10am at St. Paul’s Church, 282 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.
