Stephen G. Sobel

September 4, 1944 - January 1, 2025

The ultimate storyteller with unlimited love for family and friends, Stephen lit up every room with his wit and passion. A lover of simple pleasures, he spent his happiest days on or nearby the water. In recent years, Stephen experienced immense joy as his children achieved many milestones as graduates, new parents, and entrepreneurs. Like his father, Stephen was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He passed peacefully and with a full heart.

Stephen is predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Frances Sobel. He is survived by his wife Kathy Pandich and son Max Sobel; his former wife and friend Barbara Siegel, daughters Jessica and Katie, and sons-in-law Jon Sturgill and Aaron Kaswell; his cherished grandchildren Reagan and Leo; brother Les Sobel and wife Beverly, and nieces Jennifer, Lisa and their spouses Ryan Sanders and Drew Lerman.

A celebration of life gathering will take place in Binghamton, NY on January 11th and in Orange Park, FL on January 18th. Please contact a family member for details if you would like to attend.
