Steven J. Decker

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Melissa, and their two daughters Courtney and Aubrey; his parents John & Susan Decker; sister Jennifer (Casey) Lumbra; brothers-in-law Dan (Margaret) Vought and Matt (Brittany) Marcello; mother-in-law, Debra Vought; aunts and uncles, Theo (John) Moomey, Sandy Lombino, Sherry (Tom) Yarosh and Terry Jo Parsons; nieces and nephews, Isabelle and Ian Lumbra and Brinley and Brody Marcello; many cousins and lifelong friends.

He was a 1997 graduate of Windsor High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Albany and his Master’s Degree in School Psychology from The College of Saint Rose. He was a school psychologist for the Susquehanna Valley School District.

Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, motorhoming, and eating. He was a smart, charismatic, outgoing, friendly man and always had a smile. He was always the happiest when spending time outdoors with his family.

The family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Service will held at the funeral home on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10am. A private burial will follow in the Chenango Valley Cemetery.
