Suzanne Heier

Suzanne Kay Heier was born on October 10, 1949, in Binghamton, NY to the late Mary and Robert Weiss. She dedicated her life to her family and was the heart of our home, with constant love and generosity. A truly special soul, her bright blue eyes and beautiful smile could light up any room.

Suzanne enjoyed caring for others, employed at BDC for several years, all who knew her, loved her and her compassionate nature.

Suzanne was a devoted wife to her best friend, Gary Heier Sr. for 57 years, and together they created a home filled with warmth and kindness. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, interior decorating, cooking and reading scriptures.

We will miss her ability to find joy in simple pleasures, like her popcorn. Her husband always made sure she had an endless supply, it was one of her last simple requests. Her legacy of love, strength, and grace will continue to inspire us every day.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Heier Sr.; four children, sons, Gary and Shana Heier Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Jasper Heier of Port Crane, NY, daughters, Lisa Heier of Binghamton, NY and Cindy and Quentin Pickup of Charlotte NC; her grandchildren, Brittany Corcoran; Erica Kaufman; Whitham Pickup, and Harper Grace Pickup. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Vicki Heier; parents, Mary and Robert Weiss. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Slicklen; brothers, Robert (Bob) Weiss Jr., Roger Weiss, Raymond (Ray) Weiss, Ritchie Weiss and Jack Weiss. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family.
