Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Anthony & Josephine Costantino; his sisters, Barbara Buchta and Patricia Bennett; and his best friend, Dougie Baxter.
He is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Costantino, whom he adored for over 50 years, and by his two sons, Anthony J. Costantino (Nicole) and Dominic J. Costantino, of whom he was so proud and who always brought a smile to his face. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Teresa Contro and Marlene Living. He worked with his brothers-in-law John J. Contro, who has predeceased him, and Thomas C. Contro; and he is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including his special nieces Debbie and Lacey, and his special friend John Srnka.
For 25 years, Thomas worked as a journeyman plumber, a steady and demanding trade that reflected his dedication and pride in honest work. A severe spinal injury ultimately brought that career to an early end, but not the strength of spirit with which he met life’s changes.
In earlier years, Thomas found joy in bowling, fishing, and hunting—simple pleasures that spoke to his love of time well spent and the satisfaction of familiar pastimes, even when, later on, he could no longer do the things he once enjoyed.
Music was another enduring thread in his life. In his younger years, Thomas was an amazing rock n roll drummer who played in many popular bands at clubs in and around the Binghamton area from the 1960’s through the 90’s, leaving behind memories marked by rhythm, energy, and the unmistakable presence of someone who truly loved the craft.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all of his friends who kept in touch, along with the neighbors who were always willing to help.
The family will receive friends at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 282 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901 on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.
Those wishing to honor Thomas are kindly asked to consider donations to the American Cancer Society (Bladder Cancer), P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or the Broome County Humane Society, 167 Conklin Ave., Binghamton, NY 13903.
Rest peacefully and pain free and I will Love You for the rest of my life.
