Walter J. Canniff Jr, 69, of Chenango Forks passed away on October 14, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife, Teresa Canniff; mother, Iola Canniff; father, Walter Canniff Sr.; and sister Renee Donnelly.
Survivors include his children, Jonathon and Lindy Canniff, and Crystal and Christopher Fazzalare; his grandchild, Ryker and Erik Canniff, Meredith Fazzalare; his brothers, Steve Canniff, Thomas and Diane Canniff; his sisters Catherine Canniff, Dawn and Steve Slater, Delores Wilson, Jeanne and Bruce Sherwood Canniff, Tina Canniff, Toni and John Parke; his step sister Toni Gregory; and many nieces and nephews.
Walter was born in Johnson City and has lived for over 30 years in Chenango Forks. He was a Groundsmen with Broome Developmental Center for over 30 years.
The family will recieve friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10am -11am with a Funeral Service for Walter following at 11am. Burial will be at the South Street Cemetery in Triangle.
