Willard E. Smith, 92, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Viola Smith, daughter, Clementine; son, Carl; siblings, Elma, Leta, Ambrose and Ray. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alcina; children; Wilma and Frank Falank, Leon and Linda Smith, Timothy and Kari Smith, Amanda and Alan Akulis; grandchildren, Kimberly, Judie, Daniel, Brian, Samuel, Luke, Mindi, Jodie, Cheryl, Melanie, Shannon, Jennifer, James and Sarah; brothers, Richard and Joanna Smith, Vernon Smith; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.He proudly served in the US Army during WWII from 1942-1945 of which he served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corp as a heavy bomber engine mechanic. He retired from the US Post Office after 30 years of service in Windsor, NY. Willard was a lifetime member of American Legion, VFW and DAV. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery, Windsor, NY.
