We live and endure this life, like a fish through a sea of sharks,
but once in a while we find a light, burning stronger than all evil,

This light was Al, a bright spot in the universe.

Throughout all of history man has sought
Immortality, trying to win a race for time. 
Immortality is one of the things we cannot achieve,
with the eyes we see, with the heart we remember.

Al will always be around, death cannot break love. 
You will find him by his beloved train set in the basement 
Or playing with his grandchildren, fixing things about the house.
He has truly shined bright, leaving a long afterglow.

Hi Uncle Al,

I am so grateful for having known your kindness and sweet, loving energy and soul. You were a wonderful ucnle to Chris, and a wonderful uncle to me and Eloise. I will always think of you when the Rangers or Yankees are on, and especially on your favorite holiday, Christmas Eve / your birthday. I know you are in a better place and I look forward to feeling your energy in a new way.

Uncle Al- I have memories of you from as early as I can remember life spanning well over 3 decades.  

I will remember Christmas Eve at your house growing up and into my adult years, a memory I am fortunate enough to share with Jen.  I remember coming to your house as a kid and you spending hours with me running your train set and I was marveled at the creativity and intricacy of it.  I am grateful that you steered me away from the Long Island tendency of being a Mets fan and I became a Yankee fan to enjoy their dynasty as a teenager. I appreciate you taking me to games and showing me how to root for a sports team with passion.    

Above all, you were a staple of warmth, kindness, playfulness, and energy at all family gatherings.  It's still so surreal that you are no longer on this earth, in the physical form at least.  I get sad instantly when I think about the fact that you have passed but I know you are in a better place.  Even though I can't see you, I know you are around.

What can I say about Albert, you were the greatest big cousin we could ask for, you had the patience of a saint with the 5 Intrieri kids. You would play with us ,ride us around on your leg, drive us around in your car singing (beep beep) watching Yankees games sitting on your knee all without ever complaining and always with a smile. I have so many wonderful childhood and adult memories of you that I can go on for days. Albert you were the best godfather to me and you took the role of looking out for me into my adulthood. Throughout the years You were like a big brother always checking in just to talk and see how everyone was doing. You had the biggest heart out of anyone I ever new. You were loved by my parents and my mom always put "Albert" in a special category. I would not have my love/obsession with Elvis" if it wasn't for you. As we grew older and started traveling places with you and Carol you still always acted like my big cousin/ brother watching out for me. I still have a hard time thinking you are not with us anymore and I want to pick up the phone to call you. We all love and miss you with all our hearts. I know in some form you are still looking out for everyone you had loved. I love you Albert

I will always remember your Dad - a gentle and caring soul who loved his family greatly and was so kind and welcoming to me - despite being an Islanders and Expos fan : ).  Al, you were such a special person, a blessing and I am so grateful and honored to have known you.

Reality of the loss of you hasn't really sunk in yet Al. Maybe it is more that we don't want to accept it. We spent so much time together - you, Carol, Vic and I. The many times we visited at your home allowed us quality time together. I will always remember you giving me a hard time if Yankees were playing & I walked in the room and they had a bad play. A tease, definitely. And when I went to get a coffee cup, you would say, not that one -- not that one.. they were all your favorites. I'll always remember you responding in many conversations -- yup, yup! Vic & I say that often now without realizing and we know you are with us, prompting it! Our hearts and minds are full of all our travels together, the four of us had so much fun. Our cruise in Hawaii to celebrate the 70th birthday of Carol & I. Over the years our trips to Sabino Canyon, Tombstone, Grand Canyon, Sedona and our multiple trips to Casino Del Sol - all in Arizona. Memories are golden when with people you love and share time with, even when just sitting around. Then, most recent was our getting together in July 2016 in The Villages. All wonderful memories. We are family, and the four of us could sit around talking and teasing and we could be content with that. Then we would say - okay, where are we going to eat.  I'm writing this ironically while watching the last Jet game of the season. Guess what Al, they won 30-10 against Buffalo. My faith is strong, but that hasn't stopped the tears from flowing and the ache in my heart. At a point, I will find closure, in time I will. Until we meet again we will have our love and memories. Both our families will stay strong and keep your memory always with us in heart and mind. You will be with us always.

Al was an amazing soul. Always full of laughter. I loved his trains and how he cherished them. I remember the steam coming from the train. All the houses and people he had laid out. All the time he took to make it realistic. He loved to share his joy of those trains. I loved that he always got up and went to get fresh pastries. We would all gather around the table and just share our stories.  The Elvis room is another one. All the pictures of Elvis he had all over the walls. He was honest, gentle, fun and just a wonderful father and friend.. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Losing someone we love is nothing easy. It was a pleasure to know your Dad! He always came to visit me on my trips to see Jessica  otherwise I'd only get French toast and no sides for breakfast :) I'll always remember the day after Christmas, wherever I am, going to Hallmark and getting ornaments. 

It's comforting to know that when we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. Take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now and forever!

It so hard to find words that describe how amazing you are Dad.  The love you give, always being there for us, the fun we had ALWAYS, the best family vacations, making sure we loved Elvis and hated the Beatles :), watching Yankee games, playing ball in the yard, the best Christmases, long Antonette goodbyes, playing Pandemic where our calm balanced out the other two crazies, and of course I will always cherish your regular morning visits. My heart is broken and I miss you every minute of every day, but I know you are needed to share your love and giving spirit in a bigger way. I will always appreciate you and be grateful for what you did for me and the faith you had. You and mom made me who I am today and ingrained the importance of family, love, giving and kindness. I know you are still with us, just in a new way, and I promise to take some quiet time every day to hang out with you. I love you always xo

I will always remember the excitement of going downstairs when we came over. Getting to go inside the "train room" and I can still smell the smoke from the engines.  I was blessed to have you show my kids too and I hope they will never forget it. I loved how close you were with your family. ..even running into you and Jess at BJ's I believe Lol just hanging out shopping so sweet! We love you and will never forget you!  XOXOXO

i had no idea that when we first met our hearts would grow. You said I was part of the family because I wore an Elvis Presley belt buckle. I couldn't stop smiling. Well you were right. A few years later you and Aunt Carol joined us in Nevis to celebrate how Bill and I would say "I do." That weekend you continued to share the power of family by encouraging us all to hold hands - while we were in the ocean- and make a circle to celebrate our growing families. Bill and I were touched by your power and even with our daughters, you celebrated family love. You are now our angel and star in our skies. We will see you each time as each star shines.

What an amazing man, and I was so fortunate to have him as my cousin. I remember him calling me for my birthday, it was the year after both my parents passed away. He took the time to wish me a happy birthday and tell me just how proud my parents were of me and how much they loved me. I still have the message on my phone today. Always thinking of others and making them feel so special. I will miss him, but never forget him.
On another note, he and Carol with their family, created some wonderful memories with my little family, Pizza Party nights will never be forgotten.
Carol and Albert, took time to come and see my parents, they will never know just how much that meant to all of us. The dinners, conversation, the laughs.....I still have the video from 
their last visit.....Albert captured my father's spirit and I get to 
be reminded of it often.
So blessed to have him in my life.

We will always remember Al as a kind and gentle friend.  He was a true family man, who loved and lived for his family.  We keep thinking about how he cheered for my Al to make the train every morning. That was our friend Al, a cheerleader and supporter for all the people in his life. Rest in peace, dear Al.

I can say, with confidence, I have never met a better man that Uncle Albert. Even though we only saw him and the rest of the Antonette family at the reunions every summer, he stood out as a major figure of family in my mind and the minds of my siblings. I feel so lucky to have been witness to his overwhelming love and positivity. Thank you Uncle Albert for being such a beautiful role model for us. I know, even though your humility wouldn't let you see it, that your presence will be missed for a long, long time. There is a saying, "You have two deaths. One when you take your last breath and one, much later, when someone says your name for the last time." Uncle Albert, if that's the case, you'll be around forever.

You are truly the best uncle that I could have ever asked for. I have never met a more genuine, kind and good person in my life. I really can't express in words how much your relationship has meant to me, both now and when I was child. I respect and admire your commitment to your family, your sense of humor, and your generosity toward others. You are a role model for me and I will strive to leave a legacy of my own that can match yours. I love you and miss you.

Way too many amazing memories with the Pisano's family... They always made me feel at home when I was hanging out with them. Big Al was such a special person, with a generous heart and soul, a great smile and plenty of love for everyone. You will be certainly missed. NON NOBIS SOLUM NATI. I have so many great memories of you uncle Al. One of my favorites was when we worked in the city together. We used to ride the train home together. Christina was with us for a while I remember. But it was the year after the Rangers won the Cup. You, me and Albert went to a Ranger game. You got us great seats!   I cherished it. I even saved one of the napkins that said Stanley Cup Champions on it. Still have it. I will miss you so much.  (Oh and of course! The trains! Always special to go down and see what new things you were working on lol)  Love you and muss you already

As a Kid I often stayed at the Pisano house ,sharing great laughter ,great memories with my cousin's. Al always had a smile on his face and was filling the household with laughter. I remember his incredible train set collection in the basement and his baseball stadium chairs that we often went down stairs to play with. Most importantly I remember the love in the Pisano home ,and Al being the anchor of it all. He will be greatly missed,but  I know Carol, Christina ,Albert and Jessica will continue to share that love and happiness in his memory.

Christina and I have been friends since kindergarten, and what I remember the most is that whenever I came over their house, it was always so clear that La Familia was the most important thing to this family!  Mom and Dad cultivated a home full of so much love, laughter,  friends always welcome,  the Christmas tree was the biggest I had ever seen.  Your dad was always so kind and welcoming....a gentle soul, full of hospitality.  When you came into their home, you knew instantly that this place was the most important thing to him and mom in the whole world. XOXO

We met Al & Carol 25 years ago. Our daughter, Christine was dating their son, Al &, eventually they became family when Christine & Al married.  Over those many years, we have shared many wonderful occasions, most importantly, the births of our grandchildren Lucas, Justin & Kira.  We have taken so many family trips over those years, Thomas the Train, Disney World, trips to Vermont in the Fall, &, of course, many trips to Atlantic City.  We always had great fun times wherever we went & we will never forget them. Al, we will miss you terribly but we will always have these wonderful memories of our friendship.  Love, JoAnn & Pete

It has always been "Carol & Al"...their love for each other was always apparent and understood.  They are a good role model for all of us...of how to love all the way to the moon and back...through so many challenges that only made them stronger.  It will still always be "Carol & Al"...he's still right there beside you, Carol.  It may not look like him all the time - it may be me, or a friend or one of your kids holding your hand, but it's always him...

I always say men don't ever grow up, they just get bigger...my Uncle Al was the world's biggest kid...he loved his trains and a good baseball game (go Yankees!), but loved nothing more than getting down on the floor to play with the kids...whether it was his own three, or me and my brother when we visited (he loved to turn us all into Frankenstein monsters!), or his grandkids, there was no better playmate!  His laugh was infectious and he always wore a smile.

There are so many memories to share as I was fortunate enough to have "Big Al" as my next-door neighbor growing up, I could easily fill a whole book with them.  As a young kid, he would meticulously explain to me all my questions about his legendary train sets. Countless discussions about two of his favorite things - Elvis and The Yankees. His (and everyone's) laugh at the chair I took to the head while making movies with his video camera. My greetings of "Heyyy Allll!" were always replied to by a hearty "Heyyy Darrr!" Al always had time for everyone and was as generous, warm-hearted, and kind as they come. He got me my first job a day out of college, in one of the buildings he managed in NYC. That was Al - always doing for others however he could. I was blessed to call Al not only neighbor but friend and mentor, and he will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Riposa in pace, buon anima.

My memorable times were when we played with soldiers in his attic back in the 50's. It was also the time I looked out the window and showed him the guy across the street dressed as Santa coming to his house. Guess that blew Christmas that year. We also had a great time in Hawaii. Will miss all the great times we had over the years. love you xoxoxoxo

I have so many happy memories of Mr. Pisano, Al as I got older:)  Spending time at the Pisano house was what we did growing up.  That was where we hung out, we laughed, and we always felt like family.  Thank you!  I have spent this week, and I know I will continue to smile, remembering times shared with all of you. I love you, Al.  Right now, it is childhood memories at your house that are most comforting.

We have shared a lifetime of priceless memories with Al and Carol. From little league games, vacations, trips to the city and many dinners together. We always had a wonderful time being with Al and Carol . Many laughs and much Trump bashing! When Tom had heart surgery, he was there, asking what he could do to help.  We couldn't ask for a better friend. His genuine warmth and kindness made you feel special. We will think of him often and always  with love.

What to say? So many stories....it was an honor to have "Big Al", as he was known to us neighborhood kids, as my next-door neighbor growing up. I remember being in awe at staring at his legendary train set(s) and the amazing attention to detail in every inch of it. Perhaps a lesser known story was that "Big Al", since he worked in the city, was the one to provide us neighborhood kids with the newest technologies - when the portable CD players first came out, we all had one thanks to Big Al's connections in the city. He was always as generous as they come. Same with video cameras...and due to that video camera, the neighborhood kids made music videos and movies, including a horror movie in which I took an infamous clunk to the head with a misplaced chair! Big Al also got me my first job out of college in one of his buildings on Madison Avenue, again so emblematic of the generous man he was.  As I'm currently working on Madison Avenue today, the joke is it took me 19 years to move up 7 blocks! I'll always remember greeting him with "Hey Al!" to which he would answer "Hey Dar!".  So many stories, not enough room to recount them all, so I will just say  it was a pleasure and honor to count Albert J. Pisano as neighbor and friend, and he will be sorely missed by all those lucky enough to have known him. Riposa in pace, buon anima.

As a little kid, I would hang out at the Pisano household with Al jr., and other neighborhood kids. We would take turns hanging out at different households, but Al's had to be one of the best. He had a BASEMENT!! And in that basement, was Big Al's trains. Wow! Big Al would never, and I mean NEVER, hesitate to run his trains upon request from the neighborhood kids. If anyone ever had the chance to see Al's trains, you know that they were absolutely amazing!
You will be missed Big Al. You were always kind hearted and were as loving as a father could be. You are one of the good ones Al! Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. My prayer is that God will comfort you and the whole family at this time, as only He can. Al and I worked together in the 80s in New York. I have remembered him often over the years; especially his stories of his experience with the Trump organization... my life was enriched to have known him.
