Una vez más te recordamos querido tío Ángel Belarmino,  tú sabes que siempre estás en nuestras oraciones y en nuestros corazones.  Seguro que nuestro buen Dios te tiene en un buen sitio junto a El y mi querida madre a la que añoro entrañablemente. A la familia querida un abrazo de consuelo y esperando algún día abrazarnos todos en la eternidad.  Dios Los bendiga.

Tu bondad no será olvidada nunca querido tío Belarmino. Solo Dios sabe el cariño y aprecio que personalmente te tenia. Siempre estuviste ahi para nosotros. Gracias a Dios que tuve la oportunidad de visitarte en ocasiones anteriores cuando estabas muy enfermito. Me duele no poder estar cerca en estos momentos tan dolorosos pero mi corazón y mi alma están contigo ahora y siempre. Te queremos tío Belarmino.

Perdón por el atraso en enterarme. Belarmino tuvo siempre su corazón abierto, me llevó a encontrar mi primer trabajo, y aprendí mucho de él. No hay mucha gente como él. Su sonrisa lo decía todo. Nuestro mas sentido pésame.

It was hard for me to start writing based on past memories with Tio Belarmino.  My inner self was fighting between the sadness of knowing a good person was no longer here with us and the happy memories I was lucky to share with Tio. 

After sitting down for a few minutes, things were clear.  A good man like Tio deserves to be remembered with a smile on my face.  I would like to share two of many adventures I had with this good man.

The beginning:

I came to the USA very early in my life, struggling to find my safe and happy place like most immigrants, I met a good man, Tio Belarmino.  This good man opened his home to a completely young stranger.  I was the wild card, the unknown, the person that could have made his life easy or not too easy lol.  Call it destiny, luck, or maybe persuasion from my immediate family, but I call it a good man in action.  This good man (including his family) taught me, showed me with kindness, what it means to be a good man, a man of good actions.

Greek festival:

In my early beginnings in the USA, I found my first two jobs which helped me propel and shape who I am today.  Tio Belarmino was the silent and invisible orchestrator of my success.  I could write a book of our happy and sometimes crazy adventures we had together.  One of those adventures was when he took me to work with him to a Greek festival to make some extra money.  Little did I know, it was not about the money! (LOL)  We sneaked to the back multiple times to taste and feast on almost every single dish.  We watched the Greeks' shows and danced to the rhythm of Greek music.  We did all of these while taking the trash out.  I think the Greeks needed more help because the trash was piling up….lol

Tio Belarmino was a really good man, a man of action.  I hope I get to see him again when my time is up.  I would love to see him dance to the rhythm of salsa.  You, Tio Belarmino, will always be in my thoughts with a big smile on my face.  For crazy things up there, wait for me! 

Tío Belmarmino  you will be missed!  May you rest in peace and take care of our angels up above! 

Querida Familia Peña, Con mucha nostalgias y pena vamos a presenciar el funeral del inolvidable Tío Beli a mis años, regresan constantemente recuerdos de mi feliz niñez gracias a que tuve a un amigo que me brindó cariño, alegría con juegos, carreras y pequeñas golosinas escondidas en el viejo armario de mi querida Abuela. Cuando yo tenía cinco él tenía doce años. Por lo tanto, era tan niño como yo. Todo era juego y su compañía era casi permanente. Lamentablemente las cosas cambiaron porque mis Abuelitos lo enviaron a Guayaquil para que se enrole en un trabajo. Para mí también cambiaron las cosas. Cerca de cumplir ocho años, mis padres decidieron llevar a toda nuestra familia a Cuenca. Desde entonces nuestros juegos ya quedaron distantes. Luego él se fue al servicio militar en Giron y tuvo una lesión en su pie lo que motivó su regreso a casa, a partir de esa circunstancia nuestros encuentros se tornaron muy esporádicos mientras el Tío Belarmino también realizaba su vida. Cuando nos volvimos a encontrar fue en USA en 1963. Su cordial manera de ser, respetuoso y solidario como su querida Mamá Teolinda, ayudó a muchas personas que llegaban a USA buscando trabajo y aliento y encontrar el sueño de muchos paisanos migrantes. Gracias Tío Belarmino. Fuiste un verdadero ANGEL para mí, especialmente porque siempre sentí la bondad y el cariño que tuve la suerte de tener. Estoy convencido de que estas pocas palabras que te escribo te harán sonreír porque sé que el Señor Jesús te dio una hermosa recompensa por la generosa y piadosa existencia. Hasta siempre querido Tío Belarmino.

Que lindos recuerdos son los vividos por la alegría que siempre demostraban ustedes tíos.  Por más duros las pruebas de la vida hayan sido. Esa sonrisa del tío Belarmino  sí que llenaba de alegría a muchos. Mi mamá lo quería mucho a él porque fue muy cariñoso con ella y la cuidaba mucho ,a su hermanita., cómo él la llamaba. 

Tengo momentos muy especiales o experiencias personales de Angel Belarmino Peña. Como sobrino político de Belachito, como cariñosamente le llamábamos, siempre recordaré su bondad hacia todos los que cruzábamos en su camino, sobre todo con los que llegaban como inmigrantes, tratando de ayudarles, cumpliendo lo que el Señor nos enseñó: “Extranjeros fui en tu tierra, y tú me recibiste.” Siempre recordaré como él me llamaba con todo cariño, Danielito.

Nunca olvidaré las virtudes que adornaron a mi querido tío Bely, era una persona llena de bondad sencillez y transparencia. El siempre estaba atento para ayudar a las personas necesitadas. Mi tío Ángel Belarmino fue un tío muy amoroso y bueno con todos los sobrinos. Abrió las puertas de su corazón y de su casa aquí en Estados Unidos para recibirlo a mis hermanos mayores, y después a mis padres que llegaron para empezar una nueva vida. Mi tío Ángel fue feliz   y después los cuatros hermanos menores, incluyendo yo, llegamos a mesa puesta sin problema y felices por compartir con mis tíos Ángel, Tía Itálica y mi prima Mercy, que es como una hermanita. Mi tío está en mi corazón, fue muy paciente y alcabuete conmigo. Generoso y preocupado siempre por traerme el regalo de Navidad sin importarle que venía desde lejos. Fue un muy buen samaritano mi querido tío. Con dolor en mi corazón no poder haberme despedido de él por vivir muy lejos, pero sé que un día voy a encontrarlo en el cielo junto con toda mi familia. Hasta pronto, Dios me llevará donde usted ..le quiero mucho y bendiciones que descanse en paz tío Ángel.


Esta  fue la última foto de recuerdo que tomé con mis tíos muy queridos de toda la familia ..mi tío Ángel Belarmino fue un tío muy amoroso y bueno con todos los sobrinos.

Que sus corazones sean llenos de la Divina paz y consolacion que brinda Nuestro Señor durante esta transicion en que El Sr. Belarmino se reune con su creador y que su espiritu se une con los otros angeles quienes protegen a su familia en estos tiempos que vivimos. Continuas Bendiciones se les desea hoy y siempre 🦋🙏

Aquí envió mi experiencia y recuerdo importante que tuve con mi tío: Unas de las experiencias que tuve y que recuerdo mucho con mi tío Belarmino mi compadre es cuándo estuve muy enfermo por causa de un accidente de trabajo en el que recibí fuertes quemaduras en mi cuerpo. Causándome mucho dolor. De pronto llegó mi tío Belarmino a visitarme en casa.  En cuánto me vio me dijo tengo que llevarte al doctor y me llevó a que me atendieran  pronto y fueron muchas las veces que me llevó al doctor. Gracias tío por ese apoyo oportuno que me dio y por todos esos detalles y bondad que me brindó todo el tiempo que se pudo compartir nunca olvidaré. Descanse en paz querido tío. Dios te tenga en su gloria.

Tuning into my emotions, can’t seem to help it. Attention to kind thoughts of my papá. Trust in the spirit energy. Tears to the man who helped me so much. Right now I’m entering my trust in him. Or entering deep sense of intensity outside. I try to not be sad. World is listening to “Noah on the ark.” Teaching time is precious. North enormous emotions (north is higher than south) sets off OCD when I’m weeping inside. Really trust you to work on my stress. Turn to you strongly, you’re tireless for us. Till it’s the moment that I take my last breath I will miss papá. Tears to mom, I’m treating her to my quiet. Really treating her to mental rest. Open the love to the greatest man, treated me with dignity.

Weeping quietly- the man of steel rests now. Inside his beating heart still lives in me. Saving last moments plush to ease pain. Trusting more in the spirit to carry memories. Mom hides sadness. Never goodbye, demanding peace and glory only. RPMing helps through the glooming loss. Rising sounds like heavens calling. Living in proudness-most talented. Letter to pop: Forever I will love you. Cherished you will always be. No more pain, only wings to keep watch. Magical to be loved by you. Falling peacefully into the hands of God. 




Dear Mercy, I did not know your dad well but he always had a kind and friendly smile for me if he was there when I was visiting.  I regret that I never knew enough Spanish to speak with him. Such a good kind smart, loving and hardworking man, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I will  always remember your stories of how hard he worked, especially when he had a food cart (if I remember correctly).  It is so hard to come to a new country and make a new life, to bring better opportunities for your family. I will always think of him taking a dip in the pool and again, his warm smile. Querido padrino, Dios lo tenga en su santa gloria.Como no recordarlo si fue lo mejor que tuvimos en nuestra vida cuando nos afanábamos por construir un hogar y usted y su esposa Italia nos otorgaron vuestra ayuda. Nos guiaron para hacer mejor las cosas, lo llevaré siempre en mi corazón, descanse en paz.

My beautiful family Mercy and Aunt Ita my prayers for comfort and condolences are with you and the whole family. As the Word of God describes our bodies as temporary tents of flesh, our hope is Jesus, too. Belarmino is in his arms with no more pain, no more illnesses....until we see our loved ones in heaven again. I love you family ❤️🙏
