Grandpa,
I think of you all the time. You are missed so very much! I keep your memory alive in my house. I talk about you often with my children. I want that to know all about you, even though you are not physically here with us. They exactly where you rest because each time I go to moms and pass your resting place they say “mommy that’s where old grandpa is sleeping”. I wish they had gotten to meet you, but sometimes life is unfair. I’m reminded of you each day I walk through my yard and see all the “stuff” my husband has and is not willing to part with! I tell him all the time, “ you are just like my grandfather” he wants to part with nothing!! Haha I guess the saying “ one man’s garbage, is another man’s treasure” is true. We love you so much! Everyday you are here with me, watching over us, making sure we are ok. I just know it. I see it on my girls and in little things. I miss you more than anyone could ever imagine. Every time I take my kids to carvel, pass a garage sale, or hear the lindy. I love you!

I’m sitting here on a Saturday night just thinking of you. With everything going on in my life with the custody trial and fighting for my son I can’t help but think that you are the reason I am able to get through this. I know you are with me every day helping me grow stronger. I have become a person I never thought I could ever be. I am fighting and have gained a voice I have never known before. You have sent me an angel to help my fight, I know it was you. I am able to fight fiercely and never give up because of that and I will always be grateful. Merry Christmas 2016 Dad I was thinking back today of past Christmas that we shared, today I could picture you with your legs crossed and sitting in front of the fireplace and that big beautiful smile that you had waiting for everyone to come . You were so happy to see us all. The presents were non-stop it was crazy but so exciting. Such special times. It seemed like there were no problems or stress everyone was so happy . What fun we had . So Dad here we are again with Christmas just two
days away.  Ending 2016 and what a year it has
been lots of unexpected heartbreaking happenings.
Many times it has been hard for me. I am trying 
very hard to keep it together and stay strong. You
are always there for me. I want to thank you.

I always reminisce about all our very happy Christmas 
when Dawn, Jessy, Tommy & Nicole were young.
Those are the greatest memories of all. They were

Just been reminiscing about so many fantastic 4th of 
Julys. Rusty always had the fireworks. We always had
 plenty of food & best of all, great family. So many memories like the time Marianne tried to eat the colorful saps, she thought it was candy. How about when the fireworks went up Millies house dress. We thought she would be angry but, she said it was the most fun she had all year.  Or when Dawns hair caught on fire.
I remember you always liked to light off the little fire crackers called lady fingers .Just sitting here with Ralfie & Mikey thinking about all our 4th of July barbecues they were great. Thinking  of all the good times we spent together, sure do miss them!

Today I was driving to a meeting and the song "Party like its 1999" came on the radio. I was enjoying the song yet I began to feel tears running down my face. When I realized I was crying I knew why. This song was one you danced to at my wedding. I can still recall you and grandma and aunt Josie on the train that ran itself around the dining hall. It was such an amazing night almost 17 years ago. Today is just one of those days. I miss you incredibly. I hate that my kids will only know you through the stories and videos I share with them. You are someone they should have had more time with. I know your looking down on us. Always and forever.

Hey Dad,
This has been a very sad and heart felt week.  I had to tell my employees we were closing the Florida location not enough work for both locations anymore.
Not only are the days exhausting its so hard to get someone to come into the shop to buy our equipment they can't be bothered and beside that when they make you an offer its rediclouis amount.
This has been hell and its not no where over. So upsetting and heartbreaking. What you worked so hard for is gone. 
This was an experience that weight very heavy on my heart far from happy.
I will get threw it I hope always talking to you. Do you have a headache by now?
You are a great listener as always.

It's a beautiful Friday morning and before the weekend starts and all the craziness begins I wanted to write to you. On Sunday I will be getting married! Who would have thought?? Haha I will be missing you terribly but I know that I have something better and that's you standing next to me the whole time! I know you will be with me every step of the way on that day. With Christmas just 2 days away. I been thinking about all our Christmas past. How special & awesome mom and you always made each of them. Been thinking about grandma Mary. I always 
helped her put up 2 Christmas trees and 
the Angels with the moving wings she had to have in her big bay window. 
She loved to bake I remember she made a special pastry only grandma had the recipe. She called this special pastry
Goochadotti. Marianne loved those pastries. I was young and naive I though my grandma would be here forever. I never asked her for that special pastry recipe.
So many great and fun memories as if it was yesterday.
Dad I know you see your 5 great grandchildren getting so big, suprise there is another on the way. That's right that will make 6. Yes Nicole is due this January she is having a boy. So that makes 4 great grandsons & 2 great granddaughters. How lucky are you. Thats a great Christmas gift.  The best 
gift of all. The gift of life!

Would you like to have a cup of ,  and chat for a bit. Mikey ate his toes last night again. I was up all night with him. By the time I realized what he was doing
It was to late, he already destroyed his toes.  I don't know what to do for him. I have taken him to so many vets & specialists they have no answers. They say to put him down.  I have taken him to get blessed. I am saying so many prays nothing seems to be working. I would be very upset if I have to put him down. He is just 4 years old. I know how he loved you he would jump on your bed with and kiss you .  I am running out of things
to do and don't know what to do. If there is any way you can help him. I know he would be very grateful and so would I.

What's a person to do with so much disappointment & unhappiness in their life? Remember the happy times that have past. Growing up when we went to grandma Mary's house, for a little girl that was the best thing in the whole wide world. It was so much fun! We would pick fruit from grandmas peach, fig & berry trees. One taste better then the next. Just thinking about how juicy they were makes my mouth water. We always had such a great time together. These past few months have been enlightens to me. I realized the wrong is right & the people who do nothing get the same regination as the people who help &    are always there. It is so amazing In life the twists & turns. The unexpected, the things in life you never thought would happen & suddenly they are right in your face, at your door. These days are very rough & trying times in my life.  Hoping there is light at the end of my tunnel, & thing will get better very soon. That is why I try to remember all the great & wonderful times we spent together. When we had so many happy times, seems life was less complicated. I always see your smiling face & it is a resurance that things will get better.

Just looking at the flyers to go food shopping this weekend, it reminded me of all those times we would food shop together. Or how about all the times you loved going food shopping for me. I was just thinking about all those GREAT 4th of Julys memories, so thankful for all of them. Mom & I went to vist you yesterday. We reminisced about so many happy times. When we came home to you in the garage with the music playing. You sitting on the floor Indian style fixing something.  Mowing the lawn with the biggest hat you could find and your sunglasses on.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES!
One year ago yesterday April 8 never had any meaning to me. Now that date will always have a special place in my heart forever.  That's the day the Lord called you home. Made you a perfect Angel. I miss you more today then the day the Lord took you from me.
I feel like a small piece of me went with you. Sometimes I sense a feeling of comfort & it makes me feel like you are with me. So many priceless memories in my mind. They are so vivid & clear I hold them so close to my heart, they are very dear. 
We all take for granted that the people we love will be around forever. However as time passes life changes, so many unexpected turns & twists. It important to focus on the positive side of life. Make the most of each day & don't let life get you down.    Before you know it, time passes & the one you loved is gone.  That is how I got through each day. I knew how sick you were and it was not by choice. I new you couldn't help it. 
Dad you were sick for along time but I still was not prepared to lose you.

Its like you told me in my dream, you are always with me. You have never left. You are always watching over me. You must be right because these days the stress is through the roof.

Well grandpa...I visited with you today it was pouring rain out but you know that didn't stop me. I'm a little nutty probably the most nutty out of all of us. I talked to you And in my heart I know you can hear me although you don't respond I know you listen. Sometimes I find some days hArder than others. I know you have guided me to where I am today and hope you continue to guide me. I always need you. I just need you to help me get back on my feet. I need to be happy with my job in order to find happiness around me. The thought if going back to work on thurs turns my stomach but we both know I'm strong and will pull through  I aka for you to give me the strength to get through the next few months. I love u grandpa and please continue to watch over me.

I feel sad that you won't physically be here today , but I know in my heart you are going to be with us. As I look back on last Christmas,it was very difficult for you, but heart felt for me. I realize just how special it was, it fills my heart with joy & warmth. 
I am Thankful & Grateful  we spent Christmas holding hands. I hugged & squeeze you so. I told you stories of   Christmas that have past.  We listened to Christmas music. It was very quiet & calm. Although we really didn't speak. You didn't say a word. You knew I was there & that is all that matters. I wouldn't change it for anything. Dear Dad it's Thanksgiving and I give thanks for having you on so many thanksgivings thru my life last year was a tough one for you but you were there! Now all I have is the memories of all the happy times we all spent together, we will all treasure them forever in our hearts and minds. I know you are watching over all your family. It's so hard at times but when I find myself struggling I think of how lucky I was to have such a loving Dad! I worry about mommy she's a lot different since your gone she's so frail and not that strong women we all knew, you being gone has really taken a toll on her. Hey Dad Happy Thanksgiving,
Last year you had more down days then up. So many days pulling you out of bed, lotioning you up, trying to feed you, making you drink so you would not dehydrate and get bedsores. The 7 days before Thanksgiving you gave me a good run for my money. I thought GOD was taking you home then. You were so out of it, but I kept pulling you out of bed, lotioning you up no bedsores, trying to feed you & make you drink.
Finally you started to eat & drink. 
GOD  blessed us 1 more time. He made you able to get up. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at your oldest grand daughter Dawns house. 
IT WAS A BLESSING.  
Mom has changed since you have gone I kinda think you were her glue.
She misses you much I can tell. 
Now I would like to focus on remembering what Thanksgiving is all about Giving thanks, and Counting your blessings. I am truly blessed to have wonderful parents.  Dad I am grateful and thankful we had the time we did. Even though we are worlds apart I carry you with me in my heart where ever I go always & forever.
What a difference 7 months makes!

There are no words to describe what I am feeling. I know you are here watching over me and my girls. Today Kiki came to me and told me all about it, I do not know how she knows what she knows. The only explanation is that u are visiting her. I pray that you are watching over us, guiding our decisions, helping us find our way. This time of year is going to be hard on alot of us without u. I know you are up there laughing and looking down. But it still sucks. I wish my girls got to know the real you. They would have loved going to garage sales with you and watching ur shows. Hi Grandpa...well tomorrow Jessie is getting Married. It's going to be another one of those bitter/sweet days since it's the first wedding you won't be physically there with us at. I know it's going to be hard for a lot of us but I have to try to remember that u are there with us and that you will be besides every single moment of that day. It funny how when I laid in bed last night and tried to hear your voice all I heard and saw was you at my brother Tommy's wedding sitting at the table all dressed up In your tux saying it's me grandpa with this big smile and special sparkle In your eye. You were so happy!! Tomorrow when I feel myself getting sad I'm going to close my eyes just as I did last night and I'm going to remember you with that same big smile and special sparkle and know that's how you are looking down and celebrating with us all. Please know you are and will always continue to be missed by so many even though some don't share it the same way others do. Not one day ever goes by that I don't think or talk to you grandpa and I must say it still hurts the same way it did the day u left us. I love you and thank you for continuing to guide me in the right direction. I know u are my angel! All my love Colie
