I first met Toni krisa at mercy high school. She along with Sr. Celeste took us kids to Spain in 1992. I remember her taking us to a discotech and dancing with her to Depeche Mode. We had a lot of laughs on that great trip . She taught me the love of travel and introduced me to a whole new world. I am ever so grateful for her kindness all those years ago. I recently connected with her via Facebook in August. She told me in an email about her children and that she “was blessed with an amazing life”. We should all be that lucky to have such inner and outer peace when it is our time to pass.

Mrs Krisa was my Spanish teacher at Mercy HS. She was a great teacher who taught with enthusiasm.. what a beautiful, good hearted, classy woman.
My prayers are with you and your family and friends at this time of great loss.

We first met Toni & Tom when our son Sean and Nicole moved into their new house a few hrs ago. Toni was the First person to introduce herself to us and express her excitement of having met Seán& Nicole, but more importantly our Grandchildren Maddie & Allie.
Toni would make it a point to say Hi to the girls each and everyday. The girls adored Toni & Tom. They looked for them at any sound of a car arriving at their residence. There is a video of the girls screaming Hi to Toni from a window. The girls never missed a chance to say Hi to Toni and Tom. We are so glad to have met Toni, for she enriched ours as well as others lives. Our Grandchildren have been Blessed with Toni’s presence in their lives. Toni always put a Smile on their faces. This was something Toni did with Everyone she encountered. This was one of her Greatest Attributes. Toni will be Missed by All that knew her. She will live in the Hearts and Minds of All Forever. The Love and Support she has was evident as we gathered to say our Goodbyes. As I overheard Little Tom say to a friend: “ The Showing of Love and Support was Nothing Short of Amazing”. He was so right. There was such an outpouring of Love for Toni and Support for her children and Tom, her Partner in Love. Toni is now one of God’s Angels and rest assured she will be Watching over all who knew her. She will keep a smile on our faces. Goodbye for now Toni.

Dearest Toni,
You have gained your wings and learned to fly. I can still hear you calling out to us in the hallways of UNIMET and the sound of you laughter after class. You will always be missed.
Vuela alto amiga!

I met Ms. Toni when I was in junior high school. I would pass her classroom every morning and right before dismissal to say hello and to say have a great day see you tomorrow. Ms. Toni would brighten my mood every single day. Her warm smile and generous ways made a very strong impact on me. We would share laughs and a quick hello here and there. What I will remember Ms. Toni is no matter what she would brighten anyone's day she loved teaching and made sure everyone was OK. She had a remarkable impact on me that I will never forget.

You will be truly missed your family friends loved ones are in my prayers. Fly high and soar with the Angels.

Toni was a person who shared all her God-given gifts. Through the years, Toni became an indispensable part of my family’s life. Recently, I remembered when I was 18 years old and had returned from a study abroad year. Toni was one of the first people to visit me. I was so excited to share with her all I had learned and experienced. Toni cared deeply for young people and their development. Her empathy for what others were experiencing and her support for their hopes and aspirations was one of her many God-given gifts. I know she shared that gift with the countless students she taught throughout her years as an educator.
One of Toni’s other God-given gifts was her one of a kind way to share the pure love and joy she felt in her heart with those around her. One of the longest lasting memories I have of Toni is before she married Tommy. I was just a kid but I remember her sitting on a kitchen floor hugging her knees and happily expressing her overwhelming love for her future husband. That image and memory have always made me smile. Toni made you feel a part of her joy and happiness and that made Toni an amazing person to be with. Toni and Tommy’s support for my family throughout the 30 years we’ve known them has been unwavering and constant. In a gesture I will never forget, Toni and Tommy gave me Thomas Anthony and Valerie’s crib to use for my daughters. As a new mother, this gesture made me feel supported and loved. Derik and I happily assembled the crib for Jillian’s nursery and felt extremely blessed to raise our daughters in it. Valerie, Thomas and Catherine, I want you to know that when the time comes, Derik and I will be bringing you the crib and children’s books that we have truly cherished raising our girls with. Tommy, Thomas, Valerie, Catherine, my family and I will continue to pray for your hearts to heal as you grieve the loss of your amazing wife & mother.

My son had Mrs. Krisa for Spanish in 7th and 8th grades. Our entire family adored her so much, that this year, when my daughter was entering Gelinas as a 7th grader, I had her entire class schedule changed just so she could have Mrs. Krisa! I will never forget walking into her classroom on “Back to School Night” and always receiving the warmest and loudest “Hola!” with the brightest smile to match. She was sweet and kind and her love of teaching and her students was unmistakable. She also patronized my husband’s local business about once weekly and my husband would always be greeted with the same warm enthusiasm and praise for those scones she loved so much! I still can’t believe she is gone. She was a true, one-of-a-kind gem that will never be forgotten. Our sincerest sympathies to her husband and children, we can’t even imagine the pain that you are feeling right now. Please know that you are in the thoughts of the entire Three Village Community. Rest In Peace Sra. Krisa. Te extrañaremos.
