Arlene F. Droscoski

February 20, 1948September 27, 2021

Arlene F. Droscoski, age 73, of Port Jefferson Station, New York passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021. Arlene was born February 20, 1948 in Flushing, NY.

Beloved wife, mother and Grammy, Arlene passed in Port Jefferson after a very long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. To know Arlene, is to know her passion for making all things around her, beautiful.

She was up for any adventure her kids dragged her on, with the most adventurous being in Hawai’i. It was here, that her three grandchildren were born. Her grandson was always by her side, following her around tidying the yard and flower beds. Her two granddaughters shortly followed, and her life was complete.

Arlene loved living in Hawai’i, and embraced the serene and relaxed lifestyle. Her diagnosis in 2011 with Alzheimer’s led to the decision to return home to Long Island.

Arlene will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate to know and love her. She is survived by her loving husband Albert, her daughter Karen, son Mark, and daughter-in-law Brianne, along with her three grandchildren, Mason, Sophie, and Isla.

My beautiful cousin Arlene is finally at peace in heaven. You fought the good fight. I know the flower beds with be even more lovely with you there. I’m sure you will be making new curtains for your mansion in heaven. I’m sure the reunion with your mom, dad, Nonni and Pepa must be fantastic. Give Luke a hug for me.

My dear Mother!! Heaven is a little cleaner with you there. I am so happy you are finally at peace. Thank you for blessing Mark and me with your strong will, resilience, and keen creative eye. You supported us no matter what our choices were, and your laugh, smile, and idiosyncrasies will live forever in our thoughts and hearts. We miss you and love you so much.
