In his younger years, August was very active and had a special love for horses. He enjoyed working at the stables and treasured the time spent around them. He was known for his independent spirit, strong work ethic, and kind, loving heart.
August found joy in gardening, but above all else, his family was his world. He treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially the many happy hours he spent babysitting and caring for them throughout the years.
