Clyde Everett Pye

Clyde Everett Pye, age 89, of Port Jefferson Station, New York passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. He is reunited with his wife, Jean, of over seventy-three years, who passed in 2010. Loving father to Clyde Jr., Noel, Debra, and Laurie. Adored grandfather of Lauren, Kenny, Samantha, Lindsay, Jacqueline, and Tyler. Doting great grandfather to Aiden, Dylan, Jacob, Deagan, and Emma.

Clyde was known for his love for baseball (Go Red Sox!) and basketball, but none of that compared to the love and passion he had for his grand and great grandchildren. Clyde put a lot of his personal time into volunteering; at food banks, soup kitchens, and as a Sunday school teacher. Clyde nobly served his country by enlisting in the Air Force in the 50s, where he served in the Korean War. He will be remembered for his valience, but mostly for the love he had for his family.

Visitation will be held for Clyde on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. A service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10 AM at Christ United Methodist Church, 545 Old Town Road, Port Jefferson Station. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933.
