Mr. Black! Thank you for being our wonderful neighbor for the past 5 years. I will never forget you finding our lost bunny, allowing our children to use your driveway like a raceway for their bikes, and treating us like family. You and Ann showed us so much kindness from the very first day you came to our door to welcome us to the neighborhood. You were a shining light of joy and humor and you will be greatly missed. Rest in peace our dear friend.

You made every weekend at IHOP such a joy. I remember every year singing you happy birthday being so happy you still being with us every year. You will be dearly missed, I’m glad we took a picture on my last day at IHOP. I will remember you and your humor, and kindness forever, your “imported milk straight from the cow” your French toast, your well done sausage, and your spinach omelette. Rest easy in heaven it was A blessing to have known you.

I offer my most sincere condolences for the death of our uncle David, I like so many people, am very sorry for this family loss, every family person's hurting heart reaches out to all those affected by this difficult time, kindly accept everyone's deepest condolences during this time of passing. Thinking of all of those persons affected who are inside or outside of the family as we all grieve together with the passing of uncle David.  

My very heart reaches out with the deepest feeling to Deborah Di Simone along with her dear husband during this difficult family time, I am very sorry for the loss of Deborah's dear father. I shall always keep a positive memory of our dear David Black.  A special feeling of condolences for Ann Schnur, uncle David's caring family companion.  A special family condolences for Salvatore Di Simone along with his caring fiancée, Brianna Anderson, as well as to Krystal Marinello with her caring fiancé, Austin Muldoon. For a person's friends and/or family is one of the greatest treasures of all to leave behind.  

Blessed are all those who mourn for those who are at rest in death, for those who mourn shall be comforted by the spirit of God.

David has not only been my neighbor for the past 15 years he is my friend.  I can only describe him as kind, gentle person with a great sense of humor and a knack for fixing  things.  He was also very wise.
I remember on day shortly after we met coming home from work on a beautiful spring day.  David was sitting in a lawn chair beside the drive way staring out into the woods.  I asked him, "what are you looking at"?  He turned, smiled and said "nature".
It made me think that  so often we miss the simplest things in life and that we literally need to stop and  smell the roses.
It is a life lesson that I hold to this day.
Thank you David for your friendship and the wisdom you have shared with me, you will truly be missed.

I will miss you forever.  I will remember all the wonderful times we had on all of our vacations and just how you always looked out for me.  You treated my children and my grandchildren as though they were your own.  They all loved you very much. Our 22 years together were so special and it is heartbreaking to have them end. We were very fortunate to have David in our lives. He was a big part in our family outings, trips, and important events. Looking back in some photos , the one from Lake George with ATV tour in particular makes me smile. We were supposed to split driving halfway through and David drove first. He had a smile on his face entire time and was having so much fun.. there was just no way I was going to switch off to drive. Good times with him always, we will miss him greatly

We shared a love of golf and travel.  Great memories over the years- our  Italy cruise, riding Seadoos on the Chesapeake Bay, visiting the 911 memorial where he recounted his memories of working in the twin towers, celebrating St Patrick’s day,  and numerous  outings to iHOP and Uncle Giuseppe’s.

Let us celebrate his life each day holding close the laughter we shared and the many memories we made over the years! “Gorgeous Dave” will forever be in our heats. Long live mocha cake and overcooked salmon!!!  Janet & Dan Keys
