Denna "Diane" Cohen

Denna Cohen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on August 12, 1944, she was known and loved for her sharp wit, infectious sense of humor, and generous spirit.

Denna lived a full and vibrant life. She had a passion for traveling, and her stories from around the world were as lively and engaging as she was. She found joy in the kitchen, where her cooking and baking brought comfort and happiness to all who gathered around her table. Beyond her home, Denna was a dedicated volunteer and a passionate advocate for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), lending her voice and time to a cause that deeply mattered to her.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald, her dear son, Neil and loving daughter, Jodi. Denna's memory will forever be treasured by her children, Scott Cohen (Danielle Demato) and Benjamin Cohen (Nianti Rodriguez), and her five cherished grandchildren: Samuel Demato Cohen, Joan Demato Cohen, Joanna Cohen, Jayden Cohen, and Eli Demato Cohen.

Family and friends are invited to honor Denna’s life during a visitation at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, NY.

Denna Cohen leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and resilience. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
