Emelia D. Lynch

Emelia was a graduate of Midwood High School and later earned a bachelor's degree from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, NY. Her career included roles at IBM and as the office manager for her husband’s orthodontic practice. Emelia was active in the community with The Hearth Club, The Garden Club, The Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society, and Friends of Fire Island National Seashore. She enjoyed playing bridge and Rummikub with friends. Emelia will be remembered for her love of family, independent spirit, and love of travel.

Emelia was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Vincent E. Lynch. She is survived by her daughter, Stefne Lynch, and her husband, Shiraz Mardirossian; cherished grandsons, Vincent and Gabriel Mardirossian.

Emelia was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Raffaela Darmiento. Adored sister of Antoinette Lyle, the late Kathryn Darmiento, and the late Louis Darmiento (survived by his wife Elsie). Dear sister-in-law of S. Margaret Lynch OP, the late Timothy Lynch (late Marguerite), and the late Ann L. McAllister (late James).

Arrangements for a memorial mass at Mary Immaculate R.C. Church in Bellport and the burial of Emelia's ashes at Woodland Cemetery are pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Immaculate Church.
