It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank William Ehrenfeld Jr. of Smithtown, NY, who left us on October 21, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on May 22, 1963, in Huntington, NY, Frank’s life was defined by his unwavering love for family, his quiet strength, and his generous spirit.
A devoted father, Frank cherished his daughter, Grace Catherine Pesce, and her husband, Anthony. He was the proud and loving "Gramps" to his beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Callie Pesce, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Frank was also the cherished son of Carol A. Theobalt and her husband William, and the late Frank W. Ehrenfeld. He shared a deep bond with his step-siblings, Laura Smith and William Theobalt.
Frank was blessed to share many loving years with his partner, Wendy Sandalena. Their relationship was one of deep connection, laughter, and quiet understanding. Together, they built a life filled with love, shared interests, and unwavering support for one another. Wendy was not only his partner, but his best friend and confidante—someone who brought out the very best in him and stood by his side through all of life’s seasons.
Frank’s life was marked by his quiet, thoughtful presence. He was the type of man who preferred to listen and observe, taking everything in with a calm demeanor and a gentle spirit. Always there for those who needed him, Frank’s generosity knew no bounds. If you needed help, all you had to do was call, and he would be right there, ready to lend a hand in any way he could.
Outside of his family, Frank had a deep love for the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and could often be found at the beach, taking in the peace and serenity of the water. He also enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Giants and Mets, and could often be spotted cruising around on his motorcycle, enjoying the open road.
Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength will never be forgotten.
