Gennaro "Jerry" Creta, age 85, of Mount Sinai, New York passed away on December 28, 2022. Jerry was born on December 23, 1937 in Manhattan, New York to the late Ferdinand and Lucia Creta. Beloved husband of the late Sheila Creta. Loving father of Donna Viccaro (the late Tom), Fred Creta (Rosette), Michael Creta (Caroline), Scott Creta (Maria) and Stephen Creta. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas Viccaro (Laura), Michele Viccaro, Michael Creta, Chelsea Simon (James), Brian Viccaro (Danielle), Sean Creta, Victoria Creta, Daniel Creta (Krissi) and Christopher Creta. Proud great grandfather of Daniel Creta, Giovanni Viccaro, William Creta, and twins Carmine and Antonio Viccaro. Devoted brother of Janice Iburg and the late Vincent and Phyllis. A visitation for Jerry will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Closing prayer at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Interment with Navy honors to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 Route 112, Coram, New York 11727.
