She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Day and Tracey Day, and her grandsons, Alexander Day, Kyle Smith, Konnor Smith, Corey Smith, and Caden Smith. Geraldine is also survived by her brother, James (Patti), her niece Janine, and her nephew Christopher. She was predeceased by Robert.
Geraldine was a spirited and compassionate soul whose love for life touched everyone she met.
Geraldine had a lifelong affection for animals, particularly cats. She was a devoted volunteer at Save-A-Pet, where she gave her time and heart to animals in need. Her home was often a sanctuary for foster kittens, each one benefiting from her patience, care, and love.
Her kindness, generosity, and warmth will be deeply missed by friends, family, and the many lives — both human and animal — she touched along the way.
Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on June 4, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A prayer service will also take place at the same location on June 4, 2025, at 8:00 pm.
