Hey Uncle Ha. Man, there's so much I could tell you I don't even know where to start. First things first! My cheeks! I can't forget about you pinching my cheeks! Hahahaha it was a bitter sweet cheek pinch. I didn't know wether to hate it or love it!  You were special to me, to all of us. Wewa's doing really good and shes so proud of you. Me, mom, and Chelsea live down here by wewa N poppop now. I live with my girlfriend Laura. We have a condo. It's cute haha. Before my girlfriend and I moved down here we were living in Patchogue and I would always run into Vincent in the weirdest places. Like random tatoo parlors and random pet stores out buying things we shouldn't be hahahaha. We would always talk about you and the family tho. All those Fire Island vacations, us kids getting into trouble. Trying to be as cool as Uncle Ha. Hahaha. It's amazing how time just flies by. Oh and before I forget! Yes, I'm brushing my teeth. Every single day. :) I really can't think about you and not smile. I had an awesome childhood filled with wonderful memories. We truly gained a guardian angel and I know your looking down on all of us. Every single second of every single day. We love you Uncle Harold. Rest Peacefully

I met this wonderful friend at Ft Sam Houston in 1968 as we began our duty as Army dentists in the 249th Gen Hospital. We traveled together through San Fran,& Oakland on our way to Tokyo. One very cool guy from Queens and one hick from Oklahoma. We roomed together for 3 months waiting for our families to arrive. We became fast friends both socially and professionally, developing utmost respect, learning from each other. 2 young dentist from vastly different backgrounds, NYU and Baylor. Our friendship continued to present day. We usually spoke at least once per year and Harold's visits on his lecture tours were always always continued our enduring friendship. I remember him as a doting young father of Randy and Laurie in Japan. I also saw his love of his boys inhis new family. Although I never met most of his family, his love was obvious. My wife Sondra and I always looked forward to his visits. He was truly one of the best dentists I have had the pleasure to work alongside over the last 47 years. I salute you, my friend Harold,

Uncle Harold there are so many things I wish I had told you, just little thing, that I never got around to. I also wish I had made the effort to see you more often. You will never know how important and what a big part of your life was to me. You meant the world to my dad, which meant you meant the world to me.  I wish I could have told you how I graduated with my bachelors in sociology.  Right after college, I worked in Washington,D.C. At a charter school for disabled teenagers and adults.  I was terrified at first and then learned to love it.  I then became a teacher at The Goddard School in Rockville,MD.  I am currently living in Cherry Hill,NJ with my boyfriend and our mixed 1 year old pup. His name is Brody. I work at a daycare similar to The Goddard School as a teacher, I plan on finishing up the school year and then trying to go back to school to be a school therapist or a therapist who works with disabled children.  I love making a difference even if that sounds corny!  I wish I could have told you all these things earlier. I have a student in my class right now named Harold and he is so cute! He has made me think of you since the day he started. I finally understand why you always pinched my cheeks when I was little because I love my students so much I was wanna squeeze them all the time! I have always loved you, always will. You are and always will be a huge part of my life and I know you will always be looking down on me :) it's hard to end this message because I never want to stop talking to you or telling you things, but I know you will always be listening.

I am Harolds sister Medge..We defined each other. I often felt as though we had been twins as we shared the same birthday april 7 two years apart. passing through the roller coaster of life sharing the joys and the tragedies that came our way as though we were one.e each had our role which played out as one. more often then not,I was the Rock,he leaned on me his footing,to straighten the road when he drifted off course. He, without a doubt was my Hero, the rainmaker  of the dynamic duo. Harold's unique charm lit up the room his professional accomplishments enriched both his patient and colleagues in so many ways.y brother, my hero, whose blood runs in both Linda and my veins loved us both  a rich love,that is now our treasureand will fill our memories until we meet again.  It saddens me to think that anyone might define my brother by the demons that scarred him..he certainly was so much more then that..a loving broth to Linda, a caring friend, a proud father to Randye and Laurie and a proud Uncle to Barry and yes a hero to his rock, a man who touched most everyone in this room in a manner that enriched us all.
So to my brother, my Hero..I say SHALOM..and I pray you find peace..till we meet again know that your friends,sisters and daughters we will miss  you..in so many ways

What can I say about Harold?  Anyone reading this has been blessed by having Harold in their lives.  The one word that best describes Harold is Love. That's what he gave to everyone he knew and it was impossible not to love him back.  I hope he knew how much joy he brought to so many. Uncle Harold,

I loved you because you were always the "cool" Uncle.  You looked like Jimmy Buffett...dressed like a rock star...and always had tons of cologne on!

My first memory of you was probably when I was 6 years old...in Niagara Falls...and you took me into the gift store and told me I could have whatever I wanted because Uncle Kenny had just bought me a ton of stuff.

You had to compete because you wanted to be the better Uncle.  Hahahaha!

Writing this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.  When I think of you I smile and remember so many wonderful memories we made.  Our lives and families have always been a part of each other.  Gosh we had some good times.

You had that wonderful smile and great way about you of making whoever you were with feel special.  Although in later years we didn't get to see much of one another you always held a special place in my heart.

I hope you are at peace.  I will miss you always.

We were saddened to hear of Harold's passing. We remember sharing happy times on Patricia Lane when we were all new homeowners for the first time. Harold was a wonderful dentist and a good friend. Medge, Randi and Laurie are in our thoughts and prayers.

It's so hard to explain what I feel right now. I've always loved ym cousin Harold and loved that he always wore a ponytail. I will always picture him with the love he had for his family and the big smile on his face when I'd see him. It was always fun to spend time with you.

Like so many others, I was devastated to hear this news.  But as memories of you flooded my mind, I realized that all I could think of were moments of your warm beaming face making everyone around you smile, or of those moments of your genuine compassion that made it perfectly clear that so many of us were truly important to you. That's the way you always began everything to me ...   

I am so glad we took one more trip together a few years ago, with Danny, up to the country  South Fallsburg, Echo Lake, Green Acres, my old house. You snored so loud that night in the motel room that Danny had to escape to my room in the middle of the night so he could get some sleep!

And that magical day you, me and Danny spent together ice skating in Central Park at Christmas and then scarfing down pastrami sandwiches at Carnegie Deli. What fun we had!

You know I have always loved and adored you Harold. You have always been my Adonis and my hero ... and you have always shone in my eyes and brought joy to my heart.  When I think of you, I think of laughter, your smile, your Paul Newman sparkling blue eyes, and how warm and genuine your love always felt ... whether you were giving me nuggies' when we were kids; or putting up a tent with me and Medge to sleep in on our front lawn; or doing one of your beautiful Indian fire dances in front of our fireplace;  or drawing one of your amazing cartoons; or playing the ruler or marble game that you, me and Medge made up and played in the living room; or making me and my sister look at each other in sheer wonderment and relief every time you would actually ask to mow our lawn or rake the leaves; or every time you just came up to our house in the country and just hung out, like the time you moved into our basement while recuperating from your knee surgery; or just being your warm, wonderful, funny, loving self.  How lucky we all were to share such great times together at our house in the country and at Green Acres  all of us sleeping in that one tiny room.

Every time I think of you Harold, a big smile comes on my face and I feel a warm, happy glow in my heart. Be at peace and know that you are  and always have been  loved ... and that you are and will be missed.

Harold where do I begin? My life has been fulfilled spending time together. Our late nights after a lecture were always so much fun. Your exciting personality and carismatic ways have been so comforting over the years. I can't believe last month was the last time I'd ever see you again. I would have told you how much our time spent truly meant to me. Forever in my heart.

HAROLD -- There was never a time where you weren't kind and loving to my family. We all have many fond memories of the times we spent together. We will miss you. Seems unreal that you are gone. May you rest in peace <3

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the untimely death of my friend and co worker for the last 40 years. My prayers go out to his family and can only hope that they will find some  small comfort in the fond  memories they must have of him.
