I can't believe it's been a month.  I miss Jackie so much and think about her every day.  So many of the "best years of my life" were those shared with Jackie; from playing tag in our yards as kids, to gossiping over the phone as teens, to the wonderful summers of beaches and dancing and dreaming of our futures...to marriages, kids, jobs, realities not always pleasant but always lightened by the voice of my dear dear oldest friend... I still hear that voice in my head and smile as she is still with me in spirit, always.

Dear Norma & Diana, I can't begin to express the sorrow I feel for your family.Jackie and I went out for 13 months when she was in high school/college.She was such a fantastic girl.She was very focused in life always had a game plan.Beautiful girl inside and out. All these years I wanted to call her up but I didn't want to feel I was imposing.Now I'll never get that chance.God Bless You always Jackie you made 1983 a year I'll never forget. Glen Magnotta

Dear Norma and Diana,
I was so sorry to hear the sad news about Jackie. I have prayed for Jackie since I heard about her illness, and  I will keep praying for Jackie now in heaven with her Daddy.  I have such fond memories of living on Bonnie Lane and watching Jackie and Diana, Melissa and Jennifer as they grew up alongside my younger brothers and sisters. I remember babysitting for Jackie and Diana when they were little and can still picture them in their dance recital outfits or  all dressed up in matching outfits for birthday parties and holidays. I hope that the wonderful memories of the joyful times that you shared with Jackie will help to comfort you in the days ahead.  You are in my thoughts and prayers. Our deepest sympathies to Jackie's family.  We worked with Jackie at the hospital years ago.  When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.  We have several family members in the same cemetery; we will visit her often.  Our family will be watching over her.

I didn't know you personally but I knew you in the hearts of my daughter in law Melissa Knott and her mother, Ruth Levy and her sister, Jenny.  I knew you in your mom, Norma.  I thought of the many ways you can know a person without actually meeting them.  I thought of this in church today and felt so close to you, somehow.  And now that you are in heaven with your father you will most probably meet someone who was dear to me but who you didn't know.  She is my grandaugher, Skye Mhari  who got to heaven before you and knowing Skye, know that she will welcome you.  Say hi for us and you will always be in our prayers.

My dad called me last night with the very sad news. We have not spoken in years, but Jackie has been in my thoughts and prayers since I first heard. Jackie is now with her dear daddy and I will pray and ask my mother to look after her in Heaven as well and she will take care of jackie as if she was her own. I still imagine us back in high school giggling and laughing without a care in the world. Then came the partying days of college. I just can't believe this. It's like a nightmare. I hadn't spoken to Jackie in a few years but would get updates from sister Diana on my frequent visits to the ER at LIJ. I didn't want to believe that what I was hearing was true. The world will miss you Jackie but I know you are at peace now and close to your Dad.

Jackie Crevi, Lis Levine-Blitzer, and I spent all our secondary school years together.  We were the closest of friends who shared many wonderful memories together. It feels like yesterday we were rollerskating at USA and Goodskates, sitting on West Meadow Beach so Jackie could get the perfect tan, going to Ward Melville prom(Jackie was the most beautiful in her long white gown).  Over the years we lost touch, got reaquainted  when Jackie proudly became a nurse practitioner at NYU where I was a resident in obstetrics and gynecology.  We celebrated her marriage to Peter Martino and the birth of their son, Robert.   Life became rocky and Jackie became ill and we did not see each other or speak to each other as often as we should but in our hearts I know that we always loved each other.  Jackie I will miss you forever and will always love you.  I hope you are at peace and free of pain now.
