James is the beloved husband of Barbara for 70 years.
He was a devoted and loving father to Kathy, Diane (Daniel), and Lynne (Craig), and a cherished grandfather to Tamika, Jennifer, Kate, Shawn, Gabby, and Justin. He was also a doting great-grandfather to 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
James lived a full and active life. In his younger years, he played both football and baseball throughout high school and college. His love of sports continued as he spent 10 years as a high school football referee, mentoring and supporting young athletes.
A man of deep faith, James served as an altar boy in his youth and later as an usher at Infant Jesus Church and the Infant Jesus Chapel at St. Charles Hospital. His commitment to his community and church was a steady presence throughout his life.
James found happiness in the simple pleasures—golfing, gardening, working around the house, and spending time on the water boating. He also loved traveling and had a special place in his heart for animals.
Above all, James will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the genuine way he connected with others. He was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew him.
