Jocelyn Dedica Sarant

Jocelyn D. Sarant of Stony Brook, NY, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on November 22, 1956, in Surrey, United Kingdom, Jocelyn was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond and Isobel Sarant.

Jocelyn is lovingly remembered by her devoted siblings: Pamela Crum (Hank), Penelope Brophy (Jere), Melody Paton (Roger), and Peter Sarant (Pam). She is also survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews, who brought her great joy and love throughout her life.

A woman with a warm and generous spirit, Jocelyn adored her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She especially loved the holidays—Christmas being her favorite—and found happiness in the festive traditions, the food, and all the trimmings.

Jocelyn found simple joys in life, spending time coloring and listening to her favorite music, with a special love for opera and country. Her gentle nature, kind heart, and bright presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation and prayer service in honor of Jocelyn’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4-7 PM.
