I grew up across the street from John's house in farmingville.  I befriended David when we were small children and John was the best part of our hang sometimes.  Always playing basketball with us, making me believe chocolate milk came from chocolate cows(i went around telling everyone lol) Always pulling up in the clean lincoln with a smile, taking a jump shot in his suit.  Sending strength and prayers to his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to the Flannery Family.

John was my idol… When I was growing up in California and the family would visit I was always glued to John… he was the absolute coolest most amazing person and the reason I grew my hair long. We had so many funny occasions like crashing the Golf cart in Cali and the time we went to Venice beach and how he commanded all the attention of everyone with his bad ass attitude and charisma. When I was hurt in the hospital and had a long journey to recovery after a traumatic brain injury and the loss on my eye, he called everyday to check on me. After my divorce he constantly checked on me and the girls… he was a pillar in my life, a person that represented the best in humanity and the pinnacle of what a man could be. I will miss him terribly but I will hold him and his memory close to my heart. He was and always will be the man, my idol and a legend. Thank you for being not a cousin but a big brother to me. I’m so thankful that you were a part of my girls life, that you got to meet my Megha, that you brightened my Mother’s Day multiple times a week. I love you John… till we meet again my brother.

A lot has changed over the years but the love for you never has. We will miss you dearly.

You were one of the sweetest and kindest people on this earth. I remember the good times coming over and playing with Ellie when I was little. Going to your house was a huge part of my childhood. You were funny and never held a dull conversation. You were never afraid to speak your mind. Taken too young and gone too soon. There’s no doubt in my mind that you will be missed for a long time.

Now you are with dad playing golf and having fun. I will miss our long talks about nothing and everything. I love you and will miss you very much. I know you are still with me as my angel.
